Improvements were made today to the Natural Playscape. Check them out when you visit the park the next time. Bug mansion, stepping logs, Tic Tac Toe table, a lean-to shelter, and repairs to the Pirate Ship. The set of Lincoln Logs are being replaced.

Friends of Chester Woods Spring Work Day is scheduled for April 25th. Join Friends of Chester Woods for the annual spring cleanup day. Meet at the park office for coffee and doughnuts before heading out to the park to help get things ready for the busy spring and summer season!

Announcing!!!! Bait will be available May 1st at the office area then May 23rd at the beach house thru labor day weekend. Beach house hours are 10 to 6 each day. Night crawlers are $4 a dozen and red wigglers are $5 per a 30 count pack.

Spring is coming as we spotted American Pasqueflowers (Anemone patens) on the goat prairie at Chester Woods Park - Olmsted County, Eyota, MN today. It is a native, perennial flower that blooms from March - May. Typically grows to a height of 3 - 18 inches on south-facing slopes. We brushed aside the dried grass to take these pictures.
