Ready to hit the field this fall? Registration is now open for the 2026 Crusaders CYO Football season!

🏁 Flag Football (Grades 1–4): $75
🏈 Tackle Football (Grades 5–8): No registration fee due at this time

Whether you're a returning Crusader or joining for the first time, we’d love to have you be part of the program. Please spread the word to friends, family, neighbors, and classmates!

We're also looking for volunteers to help make the season a success.

Congratulations to SSPJ’s Finley on earning top shooter scores in the 11-Year-Old Division of the annual Knights of Columbus Free Throw Contest. Earlier this spring, she represented Chester County District 19 and Exton Council 5671 at the PA Knights of Columbus Eastern Region and came out on top.

Finley finished first in her age group at the local, district, and regional competitions held February through March to earn her spot at states. We are so proud of her continued excellence and dedication, what an amazing accomplishment to repeat this success again in 2026!

While she was unable to attend the State Championship event in Mechanicsburg this time, we have no doubt she’ll be back and stronger than ever next year. Nice work, Finley, you have made the SSPJ CYO program proud!

Congratulations to Stella and Evan! They are recipients of the SSPJ CYO scholarship. Each receives $1,000 to put towards their tuition to a Catholic high school. They are both future Bishop Shanahan High School Eagles. We wish all our SSPJ Parish 8th Grade graduates the best as the move onto their high school of choice and remember we have CYO programs for our high school students…basketball and to come coed volleyball. Remember you are ALWAYS a Panther!!

Last night we celebarted all of our Panthers at the end-of-year celebration for our CYO athletes and in a special way our 8th Grade Athletes. We would like to congratulate our Spirit Award Recipients, Tessa and Evan and our Athlete Award Recipients, Stella, Sienna, Nahthan and Peter. We wish all our athletes much success, but especially all our 8th Grade Athletes.

Region 17 CYO Basketball Camp is running July 13–17 at St. Agnes in West Chester!

Campers entering grades 3–8 will enjoy a week of skills, drills, games, competitions, and instruction from experienced coaches and former CYO players.

We wrapped up our Spring Cheerleading clinic this week and the girls had a blast. We had a lot of returning faces AND lots of new ones!! Look for more clinics this summer.

Region 17 CYO Sports is working hard to revitalize softball in the Region. This year for the first time in a long time, we had JV Softball. The teams were fielded with girls in Grades 3-5. The SSPJ team consisted of girls from SSPJ & SSPP. We are excited to announce that the SSPJ team won the post season!! Congratulations to all of the girls and their coaches for a well played season and final game. We can't wait to see what the next season brings!

🎓2026 SSPJ CYO 8th Grade Athlete Education Scholarship Announced!🎓

All SSPJ 8th Grade parishioners, no matter where they attend elementary school, that are active SSPJ parishioners and participated in the SSPJ CYO Athletic Program at any time, are eligible to apply.

SSPJ CYO will award scholarships to two student athletes—one boy and one girl—planning to attend an Archdiocesan or Private Catholic High School. Each scholarship is $1,000.
