Dogs Deserve Better Eastern Shore VA

Dogs Deserve Better Eastern Shore VA Dogs Deserve Better Eastern Shore (DDB-ESVA) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit, all-volunteer rescue dedicated to improve the lives of the tethered or neglected dogs.

This is a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit organization that is dedicated to helping abused, neglected, and surrendered dogs have a better life with loving families. We are made up of all volunteers, all of the resources we have go to bringing these dogs back to health, rehoming, and educating those that will listen. All donations stay local. If you are interested, please send a message of how you would like

to help, whether you can foster a dog, volunteer your time, or donate funds and supplies. We need help from our community on the Eastern Shore. So we ask you, will you take action on behalf of our dogs in need? Together we can make a difference!

Just me over here looking cute on my new front porch that my dad, his dad, and uncle built for me- I think I look cute on it. I can’t wait until the furniture arrives this week. And to think, all this for me🙃. Don’t forget to follow me on my page, “Don’t BULLy Me.”

Jack enjoying some deck time this morning. ❤️ He recently finished another course of antibiotics to treat yet another UTI.

We're keeping our paws crossed that this one is finally behind him and he doesn't develop another.

You can always tell when he's feeling crummy, so it's especially nice to see him soaking up the fresh air and enjoying the morning.

We would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to the Exmore Rotary Club for inviting us to share a meal, enjoy wonderful fellowship, and present us with a generous donation to help the dogs in our community.

It was truly an honor to be a part of this special evening and to see so many other amazing organizations being recognized and supported for the important work they do in our community.

It is always a pleasure to see old friends, make new ones, and have the opportunity to share our mission with such a caring group.

A special thank you to Guy Doughty for believing in our mission and for introducing us to the Rotary Club members.

We truly appreciate the opportunity to share what we do to help dogs and the families who care for them throughout our community.

The support of our community makes everything we do possible. Without your generosity, we would not be able to continue improving the lives of dogs and the families who love them.

Thank you to the Exmore Rotary Club and everyone who supports our mission. Together, we are making a difference—one dog at a time.

Planting seeds for tomorrow🐾

I went to the vet today and I am big 30.6lbs!!! I now have a yeast infection that is being treated with antibiotics. EVERYONE loved me and told me how good I look🙃! I got my nails trimmed and was told I did so well! The first picture is of me in moms lap waiting for the vet and the second picture I’m home after the vet waiting for mom to get my human sister out of the car- don’t I look so pretty!

Last week, we were blessed to receive two trailer loads of food—one delivered on Friday and the second on Saturday.
None of this would have been possible without our loyal supporters and dedicated volunteers.
Your willingness to serve our community is truly appreciated.

We want to give a very special shout-out to Auntie M. She was front and center for both deliveries, volunteering her time to pick up the loads and helping load and unload each one. We are so grateful for your dedication and servant's heart.

Friday's delivery and unloading went better than expected. We were truly blessed to have volunteers show up and lend a hand. Thank you to Auntie M, Auntie T, Auntie D, Uncle C, and Uncle B for all of your much-needed help.

Saturday's delivery had me in a panic. Auntie M stayed as long as she could to help unload before leaving for a prior commitment. It quickly became clear there was no way I could handle it on my own. Ten years ago, maybe—but not today! I am so thankful to the Dirt Doctor for coming to my rescue and making sure I had the help I needed. Before I knew it, everything was unloaded! A heartfelt thank you to Auntie M, Auntie J, Uncle N, Uncle J, Uncle B, Uncle W, and Uncle J for stepping in and making it happen. There is simply no way I could have done it by myself.

To every volunteer and supporter, thank you for your time, your strength, and your generous hearts. Because of you, we are able to continue serving our community. We couldn't do this without you, and we appreciate every one of you. ❤️

T.K. had a good visit with Dr. Drew. His weight is steadily getting to his normal expected weight.

Has been showing signs of stiffness. He has shown some improvement with galliprant.

This boy has excelled every obstacle like a champ! When he came into rescue back in February he was so compromised, we feared he may not be with us long. He has showed us he has things to do, places to be. He loves snuggles and cuddles. One of his favorite places is to be curled up in your lap. 🥰
