Just a few days left to come to the free learning event in Boone Iowa put on by MD9 (Iowa Lions). It will give you knowledge, strategies, and skills on membership, leadership, portal and a lot more. For our Leos even can learn leadership techniques, portal and service ideas, and more. Come as the day is free. here are the details: August 8th from 9 to 3 with a free meal included and snacks and drinks. We need active NEW LIONS for innovative ideas and to help with our service project with the newest one LERC, Lions Eyeglass Recycling Center. With two new Lensometers (we will train you) you could help with immediately to look at recycled glasses for sorting, cleaning, reading their prescription, marking them and put in bags to be boxed up and sent out with missionaries to various places in the world. We can use any volunteers to make this program grow and fill that need worldwide... The real news is the only costs presently to join Lions is $40 for six months as you only pay dues. The entrance fee for one year is being handled by 9SW District. So come on and join the excitement and making a difference in Exira, Audubon County and beyond. Your hands, your inspiration, your innovational ideas are needed to grow our service to others. Many of our Lions are needing to fully retire as they have served for years. The Exira Lion Club is happy to announce we are putting in a LERC (Lion Eyeglass Recycling Center run by Exira Lions, Exira-EHK Leadership Leos and Audubon Lions as they work together to clean sort, read the prescriptions and label them in plastic bags and box them for delivery to Decorh Lions to pass them out to missionaries. What a great start to a great program. Lions and non-Lions we welcome your glass collections from 9 to 12 Monday through friday at the Exira Lion building at 104 Washington street in Exira.

Exira Lions Club rode in the 4th of July Parade in Exira. Pictures of those participating are here. 2000 freeze pops were tossed out to the kids today. A greqt time at one of the states best 4th of July Parade was had by all today...

On MOnday, Memorial Day, starting at 8:00 AM is our annual Memorial Breakfast at the Exira Lion Building till 1:00 pm. Come and enjoy the morning with us... Free will donation is all that is required.

Lions have begun a new relationship with a 501 3c foundation known as soles4souls.com that will take shoes of all types, new, slightly used or totally abused, only one left shoe or one right shoe, any style and even house slippers. Over 43,000,000 shoes is estimated to go to landfills and this foundation has and is changing that trend. They make good use of them. Exira Lions will take them at no costs to move them unto this foundation for you. 9SW Lions is in the process of securing two storage units one at Highway 92 Storage in Indianola IOwa run by the Indianola Lions to build up a good amount and then they send a truck to empty it out for us at no costs. Please bring any shoe(s) you need to discard to our buildijng, Exira Lion Building between 9 and 12 any week day. There will be someone to take them and we will get them to the storage unit. Thank you for. your donations and remember we need glasses as we now sort and label them to be used by missionaries, and hearing aids to be recycle or replenish and given to elderly or those in need with minimum costs to them. God Bless these Gifts to others!!!

Exira Lions Club is planning a great meal for everyone with Liver and Onions or Roasted Pork Loin Dinner on April 22nd from 5 to 7 pm with a free-will donation with dollars to be used for roof and other entities such as below--KidSight Cameras replacement at a tune of $9495 each. Please attend so we can continue to serve 6 months to 6years old with this great program and see results like video below. We need a few new members to also help us do the program We will train you.
Soon coming to Exira Lions is equipment to sort and grade glasses we collect and other clubs collect to be done in the Exira Lion Buidling for both 9SW and 9NW. We are serving others.
Why not help bring sight to others, help collect hearing aids and bring sound to those needing hearing aids, why not be part of solving and be a part of the largest service organization in the world doing a world of good. We need people to serve our community to keep the Dolly Pardon REading Program going, helping the Library, the fire department and idividual medical needs in Exira. Remember you will be helping to sponsor the Exira-EHK Leadership Leo Club that has been working to improve life in students, communities since 2015 and well into the future.
CAll 712-203-5066 now before we need to disband for lack of active members. WE ARE HERE TO SERVE!! Yes we do need young members to keep us going...
