THE EXETER LIONS CLUB WOULD LIKE TO HONOR LION BEN WELDON AS OUR LION OF THE YEAR, 2020-2021. LION BEN WAS INSTRUMENTAL IN ORGANIZING A GOLF TOURNAMENT THIS YEAR THAT ALLOWED THE CLUB SOME FUNDS TO HELP OTHER COMMUNITY GROUPS WITH OUR DONATIONS TO THEM. HE ALSO DID A GREAT JOB WORKING WITH THE BASEBALL TEAM AND KEEPING THE LIONS STADIUM IN TIP TOP SHAPE FOR HIGH SCHOOL GAMES.

WE'RE LOOKING FORWARD TO BRINGING BACK THE HIGH SCHOOL ALL-STAR GAME TO LIONS STADIUM THIS YEAR ON JUNE 26TH. THIS GAME INCLUDES HONORED SENIOR PLAYERS FROM 30+ TEAMS IN THE TULARE-KINGS COUNTY AREAS.

By the way, no goats were harmed in the production of this photo.

WITH RESTRICTIONS ON FUNDRAISING OPTIONS THIS YEAR, WE'RE ONCE AGAIN ASKING FOR THE COMMUNITIES HELP IN RAISING FUNDS FOR THIS SHOW. AS COSTS CONTINUE TO RISE, NOW AT $16,000, THIS SHOW CAN ONLY HAPPEN WITH YOUR SUPPORT. DONATIONS CAN BE MAILED TO PO BOX 405, EXETER LIONS CLUB, OR YOU CAN ALSO USE VENMO AS SHOWN ON THE POSTER. Congratulations to Exeter High School student athletes for their outstanding efforts. Our first Athlete of the Month awards this school year with two more to follow by the end of the year. These students represent sports currently being contested.

The Exeter Lions Club has set the date for our 25th Annual Brewfest. The almost annual (thanks to covid) event will be moved to Saturday, October 2nd, 2021. Later in the year, but an Octoberfest should be in October, right? Hope you're thirsty by then. More info to follow when we can be sure that date will work and we have tickets to sell. In the meantime, stay healthy, get your vaccines and have a cool one.

The First Annual Lions Golf Tourney was held yesterday and it sure looked like a good time was had by all, including a few pranks by fellow golfers. If around "friends" it's always a good thing to check the security of your golf bag on your cart, lest they go tumbling off as you accelerate to the next hole.
