The Summer Games finals took place this past Wednesday night between Japan and Ecuador 🇯🇵🇪🇨 The finals started with a S.O.A.P. on John 13:35 to kick us off, followed by a competitive night of slip n' slide kickball. We had the best time slippin' and slidin' and hanging out with our friends.

The games are officially over but join us this coming Wednesday for our Summer Games Awards Night! We will announce the winning team, hand out some awards, enjoy some snacks, and watch the recap video. The theme is Red Carpet, so come dressed in your best!

"Rhyming Without a Reason" this past Wednesday definitely gave us a reason to smile 😃

We hosted the semi-finals this week and had fun dressing up, causing a ruckus, and throwing in a plot twist or two. Which speaking of... if you didn't hear about it yet, only two teams are going to the finals! Argentina and Nigeria have been eliminated... womp, womp.

But don't fear! If you were previously a part of Argentina, you are now on team Japan. If you were previously a part of Nigeria, you are now on team Ecuador.

This coming week, Japan and Ecuador will face off in the finals with a night of slip n' slide kickball to determine who is worthy of the TFSM Summer Games World Cup. We can't wait!!

We're 3 weeks in to our Summer Games and finally took the time to do some site seeing as tourists this past Wednesday!

Each team also presented their team flags this past week and impressed the judges with their creativity and artistic skills.

Our games included following an invisible map, a tunnel traveling soccer ball, and a few rounds of soc' dodgeball. These tourists know how to compete!

We only have two more weeks of games left but it's still anyone's game - don't forget that theme outfits, friends, and S.O.A.P.s are all worth extra points that could change the final outcome... 👀

Speaking of theme outfits, this coming week's theme is "Rhyme Without a Reason." Grab a partner or a trio and come dressed in something that rhymes but doesn't necessarily go together. We can't wait to see what you come up with!

"Alexa, play Party in the USA by Miley Cyrus."

Here's a recap from all the fun we had this past Wednesday! We did a S.O.A.P. on Galatians 6:8-9, tested our condiment knowledge, played a good ol' fashioned yard game, and finished the night with a partner water balloon toss. Just a few American staples to add to the competition fun 🙂

And we're back!

We kicked off our Summer Games this past Wednesday night with a couple rounds of tryouts that led to our 4 teams being drafted. This year's line up includes Japan, Ecuador, Nigeria, and Argentina. This week was a lot of fun and we can't wait to see how the competition progresses in the coming weeks!

If you weren't able to make it this past Wednesday, make sure to join us next week! We'll be kicking off our theme nights with a Party in the USA, so make sure to come dressed in your best American gear.

You know how the old saying goes... "First is the worst. Second is the best!" 🥈

All fun and games aside, I think it's safe to say every single individual at camp left a winner this week! God showed up and made it clear that He has big plans for this generation! Remember, 'It's not youth ministry if the youth aren't ministering.' We can't wait to see what these students will do to help further the kingdom of heaven in the days ahead 🙌🏼
