BookSmiles is expanding to serve more children. The Kiwanis Club of Ewing is supporting them by running a book drive at RedBerryTCNJ.

Message from Larry:

Yes, I could write a million words about this pic. Signing a ten-year lease, so that BookSmiles can move into a 14,000 square foot forever-home headquarters in Cherry Hill is one of the highpoints of my "retired life" from teaching. Good to have Colliers Philadelphia Tri-State Region realtors Ian Richman and Ross Abramsohn flanking me.

We will eventually intake, process, and distribute 4 to 5,000,000 children's books from this location each year. And we will accept millions more used grown-up books because we trade them by the ton for quality kids books. Every child in Philadelphia and New Jersey will be able to access a beautiful library in their very own home.

It is spring time and if you are planning to clean out your personal library to make room for more books, please donate them to BookSmiles. The Kiwanis Club of Ewing are collecting donated books for BookSmiles at RedBerryTCNJ. We are looking primarily for childrens books (through High School) and we will take grown-up books which BookSmiles uses to trade and sell to help offset the cost of the operation. Thanks to all who have donated in the past and special thanks to RedBerryTCNJ who have allowed us to place our BookSmiles bin in the store.

We are still running our Book Drive for BookSmiles at RedBerry TCNJ. If you are looking for something to do while you are house bound, de-clutter by collecting books you don't need and donate them at our collection site at RedBerry TCNJ, 200 Campus Town Circle Suite 200A, Ewing, NJ. We are sad to announce the passing of Dolores “Dee” Sebasto. She has been an active member of the Ewing Kiwanis Club for 30 years and has served as the Club Secretary for 22 years. Over her 90 years Dee has been very active in the Ewing Community serving with many other community organizations including the West Trenton Ladies Fire Auxiliary and the Our Lady of Good Council Senior Group.
