The 2026 Special Olympics USA Games created more than unforgettable moments on the field — they inspired the next generation of leaders. 💙 Youth leaders Aiden Apolinario and Aha’ilono (Lono) Isaia returned home with new friendships, meaningful experiences, and a deeper understanding of inclusion and leadership. From watching athletes lead with confidence to connecting with people from across the country, their journey showed the power of creating spaces where everyone belongs. Mahalo to our youth leaders for bringing the spirit of the USA Games back to Hawaii.

A day on the green made a big impact for our athletes. ⛳️ On April 30, law enforcement officers, first responders, and community supporters came together for the 2nd Annual Hawaii Law Enforcement Golf Classic, raising $4,345 in support of Special Olympics Hawaii.

Mahalo to everyone who played, volunteered, and sponsored this incredible event. A special mahalo to Gregg Arii and his team for bringing our community together and creating another memorable day of support, connection, and inclusion for our athletes.

Game day is here! ⚽️ The 31st Annual Aukake Classic kicks off today at Waiau District Park in Pearl City, bringing nearly 350 athletes, coaches, and partners together from across Hawaii for a weekend of competition, teamwork, and inclusion.

After months of training and area and regional competitions, our athletes are ready to take the field for five-a-side soccer and traditional and Unified bocce doubles. Let’s cheer them on as they bring their hard work and aloha to the competition.

Mahalo to our Bronze Medal Sponsor, Yard House Waikiki, for supporting this year’s Aukake Classic. Let the games begin! 🏆

Ben Moszkowicz carried the spirit of aloha across the country as he represented Hawaii in the 2026 Special Olympics USA Games Final Leg Torch Run. Alongside law enforcement officers and Special Olympics athletes, Ben helped carry the Flame of Hope on its 10,000-mile journey, spreading a message of inclusion, friendship, and unity. From shared miles to shared stories, Ben’s journey showed that the Torch Run is about more than the flame — it’s about the connections made and the barriers broken along the way. Mahalo, Ben, for representing Hawaii and being a champion for inclusion.

Mahalo to First Hawaiian Bank for being a valued partner of Special Olympics Hawaii. For 28 years, First Hawaiian Bank has served as the title sponsor of the First Hawaiian Bank Troy Barboza Law Enforcement Torch Run, helping unite law enforcement officers across the state to carry the Flame of Hope and raise awareness and support for our athletes. Beyond the Torch Run, their commitment continues through employee giving, event sponsorships, volunteerism, and meaningful moments that create opportunities for our athletes and families. Since 1992, First Hawaiian Bank has contributed more than $1.7 million to support the mission of Special Olympics Hawaii.
