💜 Safety is the first step but what comes next? Support makes the next steps possible.
Leaving an abusive relationship is not the end of a survivor’s journey. It’s often the beginning of a new one, and no one should have to navigate it alone.
Finding safe, affordable housing. Getting to work or counseling. Securing childcare. Putting food on the table. Rebuilding financial independence. These everyday needs can make a meaningful difference as survivors work toward safety, healing and stability for themselves, their children, and their families.
At Child & Family Service (CFS), we understand that supporting survivors means looking beyond the immediate crisis and helping families access the resources they need to move forward.
💜 This Domestic Violence Awareness Month, let’s remember that support shouldn’t end when a crisis passes or when October comes to a close. Together, we can help build communities where survivors have access to safe housing, supportive relationships, essential resources and the opportunity to thrive.
Because lasting safety is about more than surviving today. It’s about having the support to build a safer tomorrow.
