Palm Sunday and
Reimagining Your Past

Come join us this Sunday, as Marryanne Bach brings forth a discussion to explore the "metaphysical" interpretation of Palm Sunday…the sixth Sunday in this Lenten Season.

“…Metaphysically, Passover focuses on the internal liberation of the soul, representing the transition from bo***ge (lower appetites/material consciousness) to freedom (spiritual consciousness). Palm leaves, used in related Palm Sunday traditions, symbolize triumph, peace, victory over the flesh, and the welcoming of divine authority into the heart…"

How are you both welcoming & deepening in your own internal Divine Authority ?
What from your past have you triumphed over?
From the Unity Lenten Book reading for the 5th Sunday, is there some aspect of your earlier life you’d rewrite?
What “liberation of the soul” does this 2026 Palm Sunday/Lenten Season/Passover bring you?

Join us for a meaningful discussion this Sunday.

My "I AM" Journey

Thoughts from Coni Carter...

I have been working on a talk that I will be doing for Althea Center the 29th of March and I decided part of it would make a great discussion for us. So here goes: I came across the following piece that is going to be a reading before my talk which is titled My "I AM" Journey . As I was reading through this it made me ask how am I doing living up to this path. So I thought you could help me by sharing your journey with me.

I AM

I was regretting the past and fearing the future.

Suddenly my Lord was speaking:

“My name is I Am.” He paused.

I waited. He continued,

“When you live in the past, with its mistakes and regrets,

It is hard. I am not there.

My name is not I was.

When you live in the future, with its problems and fears, it is hard.

I am not there. My name is not I will Be.

When you live in this moment, it is not hard. I am here.

My name is I Am.

By: Helen Mallicoat

Some Questions to Consider:

1. How good are you at staying out of regret or fear of the past?

I spend time working on my life photo album that I am creating, so I do spend some time there. I am using the photos to do healing work on myself, so I know how important it is to not get stuck there.

2. How about the future, especially the aging thing or the changes that life offers us? With my 81st birthday coming up within this month, this is a good path for me to get comfortable on.

3. What does it feel like for you to live in the moment? I love this part of life and I am enjoying it.

I look forward to hearing your response to these questions for you each always bring such wonderful insights into our discussions.

See you on Sunday,

Coni Carter

MIRACLES: Everyday and Extraordinary

Thoughts from Aleia Schaum...

I think it is important to acknowledge all the miracles of every day of life and to expect extraordinary miracles. Expressing gratitude for both kinds is a way to connect to the divine.

Questions to ponder:

Do you believe in miracles?
In what ways is your life a miracle?
What miracles have you witnessed?
What would it be like to expect miracles every day?

Join us at 10:00 AM - 11:15AM at 1202 Bergen Pkwy Suite 100, Evergreen, CO for a meaningful discussion this Sunday!

BURNING BOWL & WHITE STONE CEREMONIES

This Sunday the Unity of the Foothills prayer chaplains will be presenting a combined ceremony closing 2025 and opening to 2026. This is a service we have offered many times in the past and still feel it benefits all who participate.

So why do we do this: because it is beneficial to consciously close out the old year as we enter a new year. The year 2025 is now past, but we may have attached ourselves to a belief, a habit or a pattern that no longer serves us. Now is a good time to take the time to consciously recognize and let the past go. We will do this during the Burning Bowl Ceremony.

Once we have let go, we have created a void and are ready to fill it with the good we desire. In the White Stone Ceremony we will take time to listen to what is coming up for us and claim it by writing it down, giving 2026 an intention to unfold. The power of these ceremonies is the consciousness we bring.

Zoom participants; For the Burning Bowl Ceremony it is good to have a small piece of paper, a pen, a candle, a match and bowl of water. For the White Stone part it is good to have a stone with a flat surface (preferably white like a blank slate) and a marking pen.

Having participated in these ceremonies in the past I can affirm that they have allowed me to change and grow.

The Chaplains find it an honor to serve the community in this way.

FULL MOON MEDITATION

Friday, January 2, 2025
12:00 Noon

We will be coming together next Friday, January 2, 2025 at Unity of the Foothills for our Full Moon Meditation at Noon.

(1202 North Bergen Parkway, Suite 100, Evergreen)

Yes, Saturday is the actual day of the Full Moon, but since some of us will be helping out at the Hank Alderfer Celebration of Life on Saturday, we're doing our meditation a day early. Hopefully that works for you!

Let's get together and hold a space for awakenings in the New Year.

Love,
Cherie
