Andrew & I (Heather McWilliams) just signed up to ride in the Stock Show Parade on January 4th with the Colorado Horse Council. Go to the Equine City Hall and sign up now. Spaces are limited. I did this years ago with another group and it is one of the coolest things I have done, riding through Downtown Denver. Join us!

Calling all Colorado foothills horse people! I need your help for the December Colorado Serenity article/blog! We know this amazing riding weather won't last forever and wouldn’t it be interesting to know what some of your neighbors do with their horses in the winter months? Let me know - Do you have an indoor and ride just as much? Without a local show season this time of year, does your riding change? Does your outdoor arena stay ride-able? Do you give your horses a break? Pull shoes? Do just groundwork? Move to Arizona for the winter? Trail ride down the hill? Board at an indoor facility? PM or email me your responses by Friday 12/1. If you are a professional trainer, what is your winter program and I will give you a plug! Thank you!

Last month we heard from the founder, Cindi Winner. She gave us a great presentation that explained what she does and why she does it. If you know anyone who you think could benefit from equine assisted therapy, be sure to send them her way! She has a true passion for what she does and it shows. We wish her the best of luck expanding her program throughout the foothills!

Some pictures from our annual Poker Ride.

Unmeasurable appreciation goes out to the Intermountain Horse Association for arranging a most enjoyable Poker Ride event today. IHA graciously named Westernaires as the beneficiary for their annual Poker Ride fundraiser. We think we can accurately speak for everyone by stating that a great time was had by all.

The scenery was beautiful, the trail was well-kept, the lunch was tasty, and the weather even held out until the lunch was wrapping up. Thank you to everyone who volunteered or rode today!
