Happy Earth Day 🌎💚

At Camp Fire, we believe young people don’t just inherit the planet - they help shape its future. One of the best ways to build that connection is by getting outside, getting curious, and taking action.

Here are a few ways youth and families can celebrate the planet with Camp Fire:

🌱 Join a Club
Camp Fire clubs bring kids and families together to build community while exploring the world around them. Every child is welcome, and families can share the experience together.

🌿 Journey on the Trail to the Environment
One of Camp Fire’s five program trails, this experience helps youth grow their understanding of nature, environmental stewardship, and geography through hands-on activities. Along the way, they build a deeper appreciation for the natural world and their role in caring for it.

🌲 Take the Get Outside Challenge
Our Get Outside Series makes it easy (and fun) to step outdoors with 50+ flexible activities spanning arts, STEM, literacy, ecology, and wellbeing. Visit local green spaces, try new outdoor skills, and see what you discover.

☀️ Spend Summer at Camp Killoqua
There’s nothing like camp to spark a lifelong connection to nature. From forest trails to waterfront adventures, campers build confidence, friendships, and a sense of responsibility for the world around them.

However you choose to celebrate, today is a reminder that small actions add up - and young people have the power to make a real difference! 🌍💚

This is why families love Camp Killoqua:

“My child came home overflowing with confidence, joy, and stories of kindness and belonging. Every interaction made them feel seen, supported, and safe. In a world that can feel divided, knowing they spent a week in such a welcoming, inclusive community means everything. You’re helping create core memories that will last a lifetime. We can’t wait for next summer.”
- Camper Parent, Summer 2025
