The Everett Lions Club, led by the brick laying skills of “Pickle” Deremer, installed the second group of Memorial bricks at the Medal of Honor monument at Monument Square in Everett. 116 new bricks were in the group that now totals 247 bricks surrounding the monument. Bricks are still available to purchase at $50 a piece. Bricks are ordered from the supplier when 10 or more are purchased. The Lions will be available during the Canoe Club events on May 16th with order forms, or they can be ordered through the information contained in the Gazette’s Club News section.

November 11, 1918 marked the “war to end all wars” and has since been observed as Veterans Day.

One of the ways in which The Everett Lions Club has chosen to serve the community is by honoring its veterans and as you can see below, recently installed bricks of all the Lions members who are also veterans. We pause this Novemeber 11th to honor all veterans, across the generations with gratitude and thanks. 🙏🏼🦁🫡🎖️🪖

There is plenty of room for more names to be added to the Medal of Honor Statue in Everett. I know we’re ready to order another set of them, and we’d love to add your Veterans name to the list!

I’ll have some of these forms printed out and with me at Mikes Place on Wednesday as I do Veterans Portraits.

We will also have some with us at our pancake Breakfast on Nov 22nd!! Hope to see you at either or both of those places!
