Our Decorated Dinghy Parade brought out some very creative entries for our countries 250th birthday celebration this weekend - what a blast! Scott and Erin VanOstrand claimed 1st place, Don and Lynne Dauenhauer took 2nd, and 3rd went to Bob Wright and Tammy Smith for towing the Commodore and his crew.

4th of July

Fabulous weekend spent with our Mukilteo Yacht Club family. Fantastic celebration of our countries 250th birthday and ... drum roll please ... MYC gained 4 new members.

Great potluck accompanied by a terrific crab feed provided by Cory and Tammi and not sure who all else. They knocked it out of the park and so appreciated and enjoyed by all. Thank you, Cory and Tammi.

Bell Harbor (Saturday) It began with breakfast followed by a great day of doing whatever. Some did projects on their boats while others went to the Exquisite Creatures Exhibit or to the Public Market. All enjoyed dinner at Pub 70 and the evening wrapping with wonderful conversations on the stern of the MacLeans' beautiful new Sabre.

Bell Harbor (Friday) Everyone's here! A great assortment of appetizers for happy hour, followed by Nautical Pictionary. Simple, just pull a card from the jar and draw the word that's on the card. Kingston – Our safety refresher course kicked off after lunch with members sharing boating incident stories, followed by a brief history lesson on maritime accidents that led to changes in Maritime Law. We then rotated through four hands-on safety stations: Barry covered Navigational Aids, Don Dauenhaur taught Rope Tying, Joe Hixon demonstrated the MOB Line & Ring Toss, and Mark Swenson handled Radio Calls. Great reminders as we head further into boating season.
