Thanks to all of the “helpers”! You know who you are! Keep doing your part to make a better day and know respect and kindness matter. Glad to see you all and hope those who missed this month are doing well. 🧡

Morning Blessing

May you wake with room
for both your plans and your surprises.
May you meet yourself with curiosity
instead of measuring yourself
against yesterday.
May an ordinary day reveal something
precious worth remembering.
May you give your attention
to what grows when you tend to it.
May you remember that
some of the most important changes
begin beneath the surface.
And may today plant a thought in you
that takes its own sweet time to bloom.

Love the Empty Bowl mission! And JC has the best bowls!

Did you know? Your purchase of one handcrafted bowl can make a surprisingly big difference.

45% of Huntingdon County households struggle to afford basic necessities.

Your $20 purchase supports food banks, pantries, and backpack programs serving our neighbors. Please mark the event on your calendars!

Oct. 4 @ 1 PM: Online store opens - this option is great for folks who want to support, but don't want to wait in a line:) Soup is not included for online sales (just doesn't travel well😅).

Oct. 9 from 5-7 PM: 20 Years of Empty Bowls @ Juniata College Museum of Art - buy your bowl at the museum and head to Stone Church of the Brethren for soup and refreshments (transportation is available and will be provided for anyone who requests this service).

Morning Blessing

May you enter this morning
with an open heart and
a clear sense of what matters.
May you leave a little space
between what happens
and how you respond.
May your imperfections
have a place at the table, too.
May you find satisfaction
in work that will never
make a headline.
May you notice how much
goodness can live
inside an ordinary day
regardless of the roaring and
pushing world outside.
And may you remember
that a meaningful life
is made of moments
very much like these.

Shine your light…

Sometimes we don’t realize how much our presence, kindness, or encouragement matters. What feels small to you might be the bit of light that helps someone keep going through a difficult season. ✨🫶

Reminder for the rest of the year. Happy Labor Day weekend. Be safe.

Little reminder that we don’t need the whole path lit up, just enough to see the next few steps. 🐾🤍
