This is the LAST WEEK to reserve a whole rack of ribs before the Rib Dinner on September 19th during the Evening Shade Fall Festival! The cost is $25 and tickets are available from any FD member. We will dinners available during the festival and they are $15. We hope to see y’all there!

Meet the Evening Shade Fire Department

The Evening Shade Volunteer Fire Department will have a booth set up selling the BEST lemonade slushies and cotton candy! Make sure to stop by and get a refreshing slushie! We will also be selling rib dinners from the concession stand at the gym. The dinners consist of a third of a rack of ribs, baked beans, potato salad, and a roll for only $15! Make sure to stop and say hi and help support the Fire Department!

At 2:47pm we were paged to a Mutual Aid fire with Sidney Fire Department for a structure/grass fire. Forestry was also called in to assist. A residence and shed are considered a total loss, no injuries reported.

When burn bans are in place and fire danger is high or extreme, the choices we make outdoors matter. Outdoor debris burning should be avoided entirely, because even a small fire can escape and become a wildfire under dry conditions.
