WSSC Spot Shoot

10/17/2026

We had a strong turnout for last Sunday's spot shoot at West Side Sportsman's Club and the weather for this weekend looks almost perfect. The .22 money rounds have proven very popular, so we'll continue to offer them in addition to the sh***un money rounds. Hope to see everyone there!

We had a little bit of a light turnout for last Sunday's spot shoot - might have been due to the Fall Festival setup. The weather forecast for Sunday's event has any rain from the hurricane moving out of the area before noon and a high around 76 degrees. Our .22 $ 5.00 money shoot is proving to be popular with a $ 50.00 payout, along with the sh***un $ 10.00 money rounds for $ 100.00. Hope to see you there!

What a difference 15 degrees lower temperature has on spot shoot attendance! We had a good turnout of enthusiastic shooters and plenty of workers that helped keep things moving. The forecast for Sunday's shoot is just as great - mid 70s and sunny. For the .22 shooters, we have added a $ 5.00 money shoot with a $ 50.00 payout. Hope to see you there.

FINALLY - After the first two spot shoots of the fall season encountering 90+ degree temperatures, we're going to have GREAT weather for Sunday's shoot at West Side Sportsman's Club. With a high forecast at 77 degrees, it should be a lot more pleasant for shooters and workers. We hope to see you there.

Despite temperatures a little warmer than we'd like and the opening Sunday of NFL football, we still had a decent number of shooters show up for the opening Sunday of our fall spot shoot season. As a convenience to shooters who prefer using "plastic" instead of "cold, hard cash", we are now accepting credit cards. Hope to see you next Sunday!

It looks like we're going to have sunny and warm temperatures for the start of West Side Sportsman's Club fall spot shoot season on Sunday, September 13th at noon, but that's what we've been dealing with for most of the summer. Hope to see everyone there.

Deepest condolences to the family of Steve Minor. Although not a member of the West Side Sportsman's Club, Steve was a regular participant and supporter of our Spot Shoots who will be missed.
