Stepping away from our daily routines to serve lunch at the Evansville Rescue Mission was a powerful reminder that small acts of kindness can make a meaningful difference. ✨

It was a rewarding experience to support an organization dedicated to helping individuals find hope, stability, and a path forward.

ERM Staff was also gracious enough to provide us with a full tour where we saw firsthand how they provide housing support, recovery services, job readiness programs, and other resources that help individuals build a stronger future.

Thank you to everyone who joined us for yesterday's YPA Lunch & Learn: AI Isn’t Spooky! We had a great discussion about how artificial intelligence is changing the workplace as well as our personal usage of it and what those changes mean for young professionals.

A special thank you to Dr. Srishti Srivastava from the University of Southern Indiana for sharing research, practical insights, and challenging us to think beyond the technology itself and focus on the skills that matter to evaluate and apply information effectively. One of the biggest takeaways? Practically treating AI like a fast and eager first-year intern. It drafts, while you edit, verify, and own the result.

Although this was our last Lunch & Learn of 2026, we're excited to continue bringing opportunities for young professionals to learn, connect, and grow together.
We’d love to see you at our next event, Coffee & Connections (Speed Networking Style) on November 17th. Register Today: https://members.evansvilleregion.com/events/Details/ypa-coffee-connections-1918089?sourceTypeId=Website

🚨 Join us for tomorrow's AI Lunch & Learn with Dr. Srivastava, an Associate Professor of Computer Science and Program Coordinator for the Computer Science program in the Romain College of Business at the USI!

πŸ€– Artificial intelligence has moved from headlines to daily workflows faster than most organizations have been able to keep up with. This interactive discussion cuts through the hype to focus on something more useful: what these tools are genuinely good at, where they fall short, and how young professionals can continue to build real fluency with them regardless of job title or technical background.
