We're working on the new budget for this year. We have had to deal with not receiving $737.00 to our already low budget. That’s because 16 of our neighbors are not paying their dues. Payments can still be made up to mid December this year before legal action is taken. So if you don’t like the entrance to your neighborhood looking like a swamp, please join us next month for our annual budget meeting. I’m working on getting our sheriff’s liaison to join us for any questions you might have. Date and time will be posted ASAP. Location is at the pond, dress accordingly.

From the Vanderburgh County Engineer:

Please be advised that beginning today September 18th thru October 11th, the following County roads will be milled, patched, and resurfaced:

• Koressel Road - Upper Mt. Vernon Road to New Harmony Road
• St. Joseph Road - New Harmony Road to SR 66
• St. Joseph Road - No 6 School Road to Neu Road
• #3 School Road - Hillview Drive to St. Joe Road
• Darmstadt Road - Evansville City Limits to Darmstadt Town Limit
• Heinlein Road - Baumgart Road to 250' E of Burch Drive
• Baseline Road - Old Princeton to the CSX Bridge West Approach

This also includes work on the following minor residential roads:

• Feltman Drive - Petersburg Road to Dead End
• Hartwell Drive and Windham Drive
• Oldbury Way - Boonville New Harmony Road to Dead End
• Kettleshill Walk - Oldbury Way to Dead End
• Kettleshill Court - Kettleshill Walk to Dead End
• Thornhill Drive - Approx. 200' W. of Ellerston to Petersburg
• Sonoma Court in Arrowood Sub (patching only)

Temporary lane restrictions & flaggers will be set up to direct traffic through each work zone. Slow down and expect delays while traveling on these roads. During peak times, plan on taking an alternate route. Use caution when driving on the milled surfaces.

(WEHT) — New rules have been adopted for golf carts in Vanderburgh County.

According to officials, the new rules will allow people to ride their golf carts in their subdivision and includes restrictions to young people driving the carts. Drivers must now be 18 years old with a driver’s license,

The golf cart must have headlights and taillights, and drivers can’t travel on certain roads or sidewalks. This ordinance follows the same rules as off-Road vehicles, which include side-by-sides and 4-wheelers.

Reminder notices of dues will be sent out to the households that haven’t paid as of today, this week. Look for them in your mail. If anyone would like to pay the $46.06 before the reminder arrives, please make checks payable to Fox Hollow HOA mailing address is P.O. Box 140 Ingelfield Ind 47618

As for the pond, the chemicals purchased last year were added to the pond a week ago today with little to no change.

The outstanding dues owed are the only way we can afford to treat the pond. Over 35 household have not paid. The amount remaining in the budget affords us 12 more lawn mowing days with zero extra for expenses. Without everyone paying their share don’t expect much in the pond until the next budget passes. The cost to have the pond treated professionally is 1700.00 a season April to Sept. this is from the same company that treated it before, when Mr Bussing paid the bills. Our property taxes have been paid, our insurance, and taxes filed for the HOA and 5 mowing days.

If anyone has a friend with a John boat and pond rake. I would be happy to help clean up the pond before the radio station and all the yard sale patrons arrive. I hate seeing it look this way but I’d hate it more if the grass was high as well.

I agree with Mark A Norman I know that this is a retaining pond and don’t want to do anything to cause flooding issue by blocking drainage.
