Meet alumnus Alyssa Wood '25, who graduated from the University of Southern Indiana with degrees in world languages and cultures and public relations and advertising. Alyssa is currently pursuing a master’s of business administration in marketing at USI and will graduate in December of 2026. Alyssa is the Marketing and Communications Coordinator at the Metropolitan School District of Mt. Vernon. Read below as Alyssa shares more about her experience at USI and the impact it had on her personal and professional journey.

“My years at USI were some of the best of my life as I made new friends, advanced in my classes, participated in internships and on-campus clubs, grew in leadership, and more. My time at USI prepared me to apply everything I learned to a cause that matters so much to me: education.”

Last month, incoming Alumni Council President Kristi Krack '96 recognized outgoing Alumni Council President Rileigh Holman '13 for her service.

In addition, we recognized members whose three-year terms have ended - Jena Wessel ’95, Becky Glines ’00 and Hope Fussner ’12 (pictured), as well as Braden Taylor ’19 M’21 and Ashley Riordan-Elpers ’05 M’21.

It’s always exciting to highlight alumni who continue to stay involved and lead within the USI community. Congratulations to Amanda Bingemer '13, Celeste Tabor '12, and Tony Hiatt '09 M'16.

We’re proud to celebrate outstanding alumni leadership within the USI Accounting Circle.

A sincere thank you to Amanda Bingemer ’13 accounting and CIS, for her impactful service as Chair. We’re excited to welcome Celeste Tabor ’12 accounting, as incoming Chair as she continues to advance her expertise through her MBA journey. Looking ahead, Tony Hiatt ’09, M’16 will serve as Chair-Elect, helping shape the Accounting Circle's growth and engagement.

"We truly appreciate everything that Amanda Bingemer has accomplished as Chair of the USI Accounting Circle during her term. Amanda’s leadership as Chair has produced two very successful years for USI’s Accounting and Professional Services program," said Dr. Brian McGuire, Associate Dean of the Romain College of Business. "We are also excited by the future leadership of the USI Accounting Circle. Celeste Tabor, our incoming Chair, has been an active member of the USI Accounting Circle, and she brings great experience into her new role. We are also glad to have Tony Hiatt, our incoming Chair-Elect, move into his new role. The future of the USI Accounting Circle is certainly a bright one!"
