Evansville-Area Human Resource Association We are the leading professional association for human resource professionals in the tri-state area. (EHRA). The EHRA has a long history of excellence.

The Association was first chartered in 1936 as the Evansville Personnel Association (EPA) as the 32nd chapter of the Society of Human Resource Management. In 2001, the organization adopted its new name of Evansville-Area Human Resource Association, Inc. The Evansville-Area Human Resource Association, Inc. has been awarded the Superior Merit Award from the Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM

) every year since 1976. By attaining the Superior Merit designation, the EHRA is recognized for outstanding achievement in the areas of chapter operations, professional development, enhanced support for HR profession and a strong partnership with the local community and SHRM. In addition, the EHRA has been named the Indiana Chapter of the Year for 2001, 2002, 2003, 2005, and 2006 by the Indiana State Council of the Society of Human Resource Management.
