Troop 301 spent their regular meeting time giving back this evening. This time to the Ronald McDonald House at Deaconess Gateway by cooking a spaghetti dinner for the guests.

Troop 301 had a great time at Camp Crooked Creek for the Lincoln Heritage Council Navigator Challenge this past weekend. Scouts had training workshops in the morning followed by in-the-woods orienteering courses in the afternoon.

We scavenged for our firewood throughout the weekend and the older scouts got to take a swing (pun intended) at chopping wood. Unfortunately, they were ultimately bested by a particularly sturdy chunk of hickory.

Great day at Vincennes University for Merit Badge University. Our scouts took Auto Maintenance, Communications, Engineering, Pottery, Soil/Water Conservation, and Sustainability. Leaders took CPR. Afterwards we saw the snow Minion and Snoopy House on campus and stopped to see the frozen Wabash River before heading home.
