Meet Liberty!

Liberty came into the care of Warrick County Animal Control-Official as an owner surrender on June 11, 2026, and has now become their 2nd longest canine resident.

This sweet girl was only about 9 months old when she arrived. She came from a home with other dogs and children, but unfortunately, due to landlord issues, her owner was no longer able to keep her.

Since arriving, Liberty has proven that she’s definitely the kid of the group! She is full of energy, loves making friends, and is always ready to greet the next person who walks through the door. She’s a medium-sized girl, weighing around 32 pounds at her last weigh-in. Her $170 adoption fee covers her vaccines, microchip, and spay. ❤️

Liberty has already spent far too much of her young life waiting. She deserves a family who will give her the chance to grow up surrounded by love, fun, and plenty of adventures.

Meet Seth!

Seth is a 15-week-old puppy who will be 15 weeks tomorrow! Born on May 8, 2026, Seth has spent his entire life in a loving foster home with his mom and siblings through It Takes a Village No-Kill Rescue!!

His siblings and mom have all found their forever homes, and now it’s Seth’s turn!

Seth is described as sweet, smart, laid-back. He absolutely loves people and gets along wonderfully with other dogs. He’s also working hard on his potty manners and learning all the things a growing puppy needs to know!

Now that his family has all moved on to their next chapters, Seth is hoping someone will come along and give him the forever home he’s been waiting for❤️
If you’re looking for a sweet puppy who loves people, loves dogs, and has a relaxed personality, Seth might just be your guy!

Meet Korn!

Korn had been running around the Salvage Candy area for an unknown amount of time, seemingly dumped and discarded like so many pets have been before him in that area.

After a couple of weeks of tracking his whereabouts, Southern IN K-9 Recovery Solutions was finally able to safely trap Korn and get him to safety. From there, he spent 16 days at Specialty Pet Grooming, Doggie Daycare, and Boarding, where everyone hoped his owner would come looking for him (if he had one) —or that someone would step up to foster or adopt him. Unfortunately, no one came. He is now at Evansville Animal Care & Control where he hopes to find a fresh start! Whether that be a foster, adopter, or rescue to pull him.

While we don’t know his full story we do know that Korn didn’t let his time out all alone at Salvage Candy change him! He is so sweet even after all he’s endured and even knows a few commands!

While this isn’t a post of your own we knew we had to share it!

So so so many seniors who have waited FAR too long to find their forever homes! Getting a pet is a commitment for their entire life! These seniors deserve to live out their days with people who truly love them and will cherish them until the end❤️

Meet Max! 🖤🤍

Max is a 6-year-old Border Collie mix who’s looking for a home where he can be the center of someone’s world!!

Max is an incredibly intelligent boy who absolutely thrives on attention and cuddles! He’s the definition of a Velcro dog and would love nothing more than to be right by your side—whether that’s going for a walk or curling up on the couch for a nap. If you’re looking for a loyal best friend, Max is your guy.

One thing that makes Max extra special? He loves being pampered! Baths, grooming appointments, and blowouts are no problem for this guy!!

Max would do best as the only pet in the home. He isn’t looking to share his family with other dogs or cats—he’d much rather have all the attention to himself! Because of this, he’s also searching for a home without children where he can settle in and truly thrive. But with a personality this big, you won’t feel like you’re missing out on having multiple pets!

Max is neutered, microchipped, up to date on his vaccinations, and ready to head home. His adoption fee is $200.

Meet Meredith!
Meredith is a 10-year-old Lab mix with quite the story to tell.

Born on March 29, 2016, Meredith has lived a lot of life—and now she’s looking for a place to spend her golden years surrounded by love.

On March 17 of this year, Evansville Animal Care & Control found Meredith hiding in an old barn and brought her safely into the shelter. Once she arrived, animal control officers scanned her for a microchip, hoping it would help reunite her with her family.

What they found was something no one expected!!

Meredith’s microchip was registered to a shelter all the way in Washington State. Many attempts were made to reach the owners listed on her microchip, but unfortunately, all attempts were unsuccessful.
How Meredith ended up in Indiana or that barn is a mystery that may never be solved.

What we do know is that Meredith deserves a fresh start. After everything she’s been through, we hope her next chapter includes a family who will love her, cherish her, and give her the comfort and security she deserves.

We are excited to share a new page that is officially putting a name behind something that has been helping our community for quite some time! 🐾

The people behind this page have already been dedicated to helping lost pets and worried families throughout our community, and now they are expanding that mission with a name, a purpose, and a place for people to find support when their pets go missing.

Through humane trapping, recovery strategies, and community involvement, their goal is simple: helping reunite missing pets with the families who love them. ❤️
