Carver fulfills the needs of the community by offering the same respect, education, and opportunity to everyone. Carver provides services at three facilities in Evansville’s downtown area:
Carver Neighborhood Center: 400 SE 8th St. Newsome Community Center: 100 E. Walnut St.

We're honored to be one of 35 organizations selected to receive a 2026 Forward Together GO Grant from the City of Evansville! Thanks to this investment, Carver Community Organizations will use our $17,500.00 grant to host a one day community initiative to support youth and families in our community through integrated wellness, literacy and neighborhood engagement.
This year's program awarded $500,000 to local nonprofits, bringing the City's total investment to $1.5 million over three years through the Forward Together GO Grants.
We're grateful to and the City of Evansville for investing in organizations working every day to strengthen our community

Thank you to Governor Mike Braun for visiting Carver Community Organization to talk with leadership and community partners today. He learned about the needs of parents who would like to take advantage of early learning opportunities but can't afford the cost, the need to increase funding for higher salaries for credentialed teachers, and increased partnerships to help with these initiatives.

Carver Day Care & Preschool is enrolling children of all ages. Quality childcare and educational enrichment programs are available for infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and school-age children. Convenient first- and second-shift care options are available to meet your family needs. CCDF & On My Way Prek vouchers accepted. We offer a sliding fee scale for families who pay out of pocket.

First-shift childcare: Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM–5:30 PM

Second-shift childcare: Monday–Friday, 2:00 PM–1:00 AM

Our Mother’s Day Tea Party was filled with laughter, love, fellowship, and special memories that will truly last a lifetime. Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make this event so meaningful. From the decorations and conversations to the smiles shared around the room, it was a wonderful reminder of the strength and love mothers bring to our families and community every day. ❤️
