Gorgeous weather on day 5. We finished up most of our merit badge classes with a few requirements left for tomorrow or another day. We all really enjoyed pizza night and we even got s’mores! We even had a scout get tapped out for the Order of the Arrow! One more day of summer camp fun!

I didn’t get as many pictures of Day 4 but here are the few I took. We worried about the storm all day and were prepared for severe weather. Thankfully it went South of us and all we got was rain. Lots and lots of rain. The sky cleared after dinner and we were able to have a campfire.

In case you were planning to attend

With an abundance of caution due to the impending weather, we have made the decision to move "Family Night" at Camp Buffalo from Wednesday to Thursday this week. We encourage guests to arrive after/around 5 PM ON THURSDAY not tomorrow (Wednesday) once open programming ends for the afternoon. We will do the Order of the Arrow Call Out on Thursday instead of Wednesday as well.

Day 3 of summer camp. We had fun between short bouts of rain. Even the scoutmasters got to play after dinner.

We made it to Camp Buffalo! Got our tents set up, took our swim tests, took a tour of the camp, had dinner, practiced casting in the grass, and had opening campfire! Busy day, but we’re ready to start fun merit badges tomorrow!

Mining has played a major role in the development of society by providing the raw materials needed for tools, buildings, transportation, technology, and energy. In Scouting, learning about mining helps Scouts understand how natural resources impact everyday life, careers, conservation, and safety. ⚒
