BoMeric Rescue is looking for Volunteers. It is that time of year again. Our Summer group has gone back to school or work schedules have changed. So, we are in need of help.

We are looking for volunteers for Morning/Evening Chores, people to groom/work with the horses.

And especially our getting ready for winter projects. We are way behind here. We still need to assemble 5 shelters, and move things around.

We accept volunteers with or without horse experience. However, we could use at least a couple of people with experience.

If you are interested. Give me a call, text or email to set up a tour.

❤️❤️Spook is ready for his Forever Home. It is Adoption time.❤️❤️

BHR Sir Spirito De Eleganze "Spook"

Spook is a Black yearling (soon to be 2) gelding. He is about 15.3 hands. His actual breed in unknown. He has a nice beefy Quarter Horse type build, and doesn't have a white hair on him. One ear is a bit shorter then the other making him look even more adorable. He is one of the Three Amigos saved in May of 2025 from the kill pen. He ended up there as just a very scared weanling. He was completely Feral when he arrived, but has come a long way.

His flight response is still pretty high. It takes him a bit to trust anyone new. But he tries very hard to be brave. He is halter broke and leads and ties very well. He is a beautiful mover, and would excel in any direction you would like to take him.

He will need a patient home, as he is still learning to be calm and brave. It takes him a little longer to learn new things as he has to work thru his fear while learning. He does run right up to the gate when you call him, and he loves attention, just on his terms. Slow movements are key with him. He also loves treats, which works well when asking anything from him.

If you are looking for a young horse you can take any direction you would like, and are patient and understanding of past trauma. This handsome boy could be your perfect match.

If interested in Spook please give us a call or text at 608 815-5050 or email us at [email protected]

Happy fourth of july, everybody.Everything went pretty good at the park today. The boys have already gone home. But we will be here till fireworks time. So we'll come on down and have some dinner. Before the fireworks, we got plenty of walking taco stuff, and this year we've got count and candy, and some great pop flavors.

It is our big baby Royals birthday today. He turns 5.
He spent the day hanging out with his friends in the past year and eating grass.Perfect day as far as he's concerned, he says hi to everybody. Here's his birthday video. i didn't have anyone to help me except for one of my elderly parents. This is the best video I could get out of 7 attempts.

Cuteness overload at the Farm this morning. Meric was let out with the babies in Dec. after his last hospital visit. Sunny was put out with the babies mid April, because those pastures have more grass and she can be trusted not to test a fence. They have now formed their own little family pack. The babies didn't get substitute parents, but they did get Grandparents. Our two elders look out for the babies and have been teaching them good manners. Meric especially can be seen disciplining Spook when he gets to bity or aggressive with the girls. When they come from the field one of the elders is in front and one is in back.

Here you see the babies sleeping with Sunny standing guard over them, and Meric standing on watch. This is the kind of herd dynamic you would also see in the wild. They do this daily.

Caught the babies sleeping in a cute pile this morning. They are so adorable and are still together all the time. Sunny was standing guard over them. It would be amazing if they could all be adopted together.
