💡 GLENWOOD NEIGHBORHOOD UPDATE: LIGHTING THE WAY TO SAFETY! 💡

The quarterly streetlight markings help identify locations and bring attention to our neighborhood’s needs. This is an important part of advocating for improved visibility and safer streets for everyone who lives, works, and travels through Glenwood.

🙏 A SPECIAL THANK YOU TO MATEO HAWES!

We want to recognize neighborhood resident, Mateo Hawes, for supporting this effort and helping bring attention to an important community safety issue. Neighborhood improvements happen when residents get involved, speak up, and work together toward positive change. 🫱🏽‍🫲🏿

🏡 Meena’s Place Update! ⚡💚

This week, we took another important step forward at Meena’s Place by assessing the electrical system in the home and the addition of a garage. A heartfelt THANK YOU to Kathy Boyd and Boyd Electric for supporting Meena’s Place and helping us move this vision forward! We are so grateful for community partners who share in the mission and believe in what Meena’s Place will mean to so many. 🫶🏻

We’d like to say a special thank you to the City of Evansville’s City Engineers office, especially our City Engineer, Brian Mundy, for responding to resident complaints of bullet holes in a city stop sign. The sign was quickly replaced within 2 days and residents felt heard. We appreciate you taking care of our neighborhood and all the neighborhoods in Evansville!

🚧 MEENA’S PLACE UPDATE! 🛠️✨

BIG progress behind the scenes! 💪🏽

The bathrooms are being built out with the addition of one new full bath on the first floor, and we’re getting everything ready for the next major steps — HVAC and ductwork, along with electrical work. 🔧⚡️

Piece by piece, Meena’s Place is coming together. Transitional housing isn’t a new concept, we just need it for the women in our community.

Thank you to everyone who continues to support, encourage, and believe in what we’re building! 🙌🏽

Sunny and 78 this past weekend! We love to see the children enjoying our Kindness Rock Garden. One little girl took the strawberry rock 🍓 and the other the taco rock. 🌮 It was precious watching them make the decision on which one they wanted. After understanding what the garden was for, they ended up taking several unpainted rocks so they can design their own for our garden to grow. We love it!! 🥰
