🏠✨ Update - Meena’s Place! ✨🏠

We’re excited to share that we are well on our way with the demo phase of the kitchen renovation at Meena’s Place!

Meena’s Place will provide transitional housing for women and children in our community, offering a safe and supportive environment for up to two years after they leave an emergency shelter.

This kitchen renovation is an important step in making the space even more welcoming and functional for the families who will call Meena’s Place home. We’re grateful for everyone who has supported this project and helped move it forward.

🌿🇨🇷 One Month to Go! 🇨🇷🌿

JD Sheth will be traveling to Costa Rica with a team of 15 dedicated volunteers from the United States to begin an incredible project: building a space to support mental health for the indigenous communities of Costa Rica.

This clinic will provide access to mental health resources for individuals and families who have had limited access to care and high su***de rates.

We are honored to partner with a local nonprofit to create a space that will support emotional well-being, resilience, and healthier futures for generations to come.

As we count down to departure, we’re excited to share the clinic design. Thank you to our volunteers, supporters, donors, and partners who have made this mission possible. 💚

We are incredibly grateful to Homes by Huffman for their extremely generous contribution toward Meena’s Place, a new transitional housing program through JD Sheth, in partnership with ECHO Housing, for women and children in our Evansville community. ❤️🤍

Meena’s Place will create real opportunities for women who are coming out of emergency shelters to transition into stable housing and, ultimately, move into permanent housing with the possibility of home ownership. 🏡✨

This donation brings us one step closer to reaching our financial goals. We are so thankful to Homes by Huffman for believing in this mission and helping make this project a reality. 🫱🏽‍🫲🏻

👉🏽 Glenwood Leadership Academy’s (GLA) cafeteria designs are being created. 👨🏽‍🎨 🎨
👉🏽Office Sam Taylor and his family received a GMC Sierra truck to be adapted for greater independence. 🚔
👉🏽Followed up on street light reporting in the Glenwood Neighborhood. 💡
👉🏽 Started fundraising for a sidewalk along Sweetser at Caldwell Park. 🧑🏽‍🦼‍➡️🏃🏽‍➡️👩🏽‍🦯‍➡️
👉🏽 Energy efficiency upgrades continue for Evansville residents and for Vanderburgh, Warrick, Gibson, and Posey Counties. ⚡️
👉🏽Costa Rica build trip to construct a mental health clinic - 15 volunteers - July 2026 🇨🇷
👉🏽 Boonville home completed. 🦺
👉🏽 Sanitation/washroom program continues in D**o, Kenya. 🚽 🚿
👉🏽 ‘Pavilions in the Park’ project for Vann Park is fully completed. ⛩️
👉🏽 Construction on Meena’s Place started 2 months ago and we are over 75% of the way to our fundraising goal - Transitional housing for women in partnership with ECHO Housing & Community Development. 👩🏻👩🏾
