Thanks so very much to the Vanderburgh Community Foundation for their generous donation!!!! What an incredible gift that will go on to impact over 200 kids by giving them a bed to sleep on and to be off the floor!

This year, Sleep in Heavenly Peace - IN, Evansville's Nobody Sleeps on the Floor in Our Town program was awarded this year’s $30,000 grant! The program provides for the building and delivery of beds and bedding to children ages 3 to 17 who do not currently have a bed. “With this grant, we will be able to provide beds for over 200 children in Vanderburgh County”, stated Paul Watzlavik who coordinates the volunteers and delivery of beds for the program.

Congratulations to the other two finalists, Ozanam Family Shelter and Tri-State Food Bank who were each awarded $5,000 grants!

This is our favorite time of the year! Spread the word. We cannot wait to read all about what capital campaign projects and program activities will benefit our local community!

Applications must be submitted by 5pm on Friday, August 12.

The Vanderburgh Community Foundation has announced that the Men’s Fund of Vanderburgh County’s grants committee is now accepting applications for program activities or capital projects that benefit underserved residents of Vanderburgh County. The Men’s Fund 2022 Impact Grant award amount will be $30,000.

The deadline to apply is Friday, August 12 at 5 p.m.

✨✨ Member Spotlight featuring Jim Johnson! ✨✨

Jim is a member of the law firm Jackson Kelly PLLC, primarily focusing on general and commercial litigation.

Jim has been a member of the Men's Fund since 2016. He is passionate about getting involved in his local community - having previously served as the Board President of the Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Ohio Valley.

✨✨ Member Spotlight featuring Logan Bitter! ✨✨

Logan is the Director of Finance for South Central Inc. where he handles all finance and corporate development activities.

Logan says that the "camaraderie among local business professionals, while making a difference in the community" is the greatest part of being a member of the Men's Fund.

Outside of his professional and philanthropic work, he and his wife Jessie have two beautiful children who keep them busy. Isabelle and Bo sure have a great role model to look up to!

✨✨ Member Spotlight featuring Chris Traylor! ✨✨

Chris is Co-President of Traylor Construction Group. Like many of our members, Chris likes that the Men's Fund can give "focused" support to local not-for-profit agencies for their unique individual needs.

One fact about Chris you should know: He and his wife, Niki, enjoy traveling the world with their children - with the goal of making them great “global citizens.” The world needs more people like Chris!

✨✨ Member Spotlight featuring David Mitchell! ✨✨

Dave is a founding and current member of the Men's Fund. He is the Chief Investment Officer for the German American Wealth Advisory Group, where he has worked for nearly 11 years. One of Dave's favorite aspects of the Men's Fund is the opportunity to serve on the grants committee. "It gives me a tremendous feeling knowing we are making a difference in people’s lives and in the Evansville community."

One fun fact about Dave: He is an animal lover, especially dogs. Bella, an 8-year old yellow lab, is his current furry friend. He says the greatest thing about Bella (and probably most dogs) is that no matter what kind of day he had, she is excited to see him, ready to play fetch with her ball or go for a walk.
