🏈 What a beautiful football Saturday in Chicago!
We were honored to join one of our 2026 RPFPC grant recipients, Humboldt Park Patriots, for their wonderful Family Day and final weekend of home games.

Former Chicago Bears safety Sean Cattouse, former Buffalo Bills offensive lineman David Porter, and RPFPC Executive Director Tom Serpento were thrilled to celebrate with League President Patrick Murray, Vice President Dale Crawford, and the incredible volunteers, coaches, parents, fans, players, and cheerleaders who make this organization so special.

We were especially grateful for the opportunity to address the crowd and share some words of encouragement with the young athletes and cheerleaders. ❤️💙 Thank you, Humboldt Park Patriots, for welcoming us and allowing us to be part of such a memorable day! We couldn’t imagine spending our Saturday anywhere else!

Another one for the books! 🏈🎤 The NFLPA Chicago Chapter came together for our 3rd event of the year at Kaba Comedy Venue for a night of laughs, connection, and good times.

This one was extra special with some of our partners joining us — bringing even more energy and camaraderie to the evening. ❤️ Grateful for the opportunity to connect, celebrate, and build community beyond the field. Until the next one! 🏈

It is with heavy hearts that we mourn the loss of our brother, Matt Suhey. Our Chicago chapter is sending love and prayers to his loved ones during this time.

Matt was more than a member of the legendary 1985 Chicago Bears — he was a teammate, a friend, a champion, and a man who exemplified the true meaning of brotherhood. His selflessness, loyalty, and willingness to do the work that helped others succeed made him special both on and off the field. From helping pave the way for Walter Payton to scoring the first touchdown in Super Bowl XX, Matt will forever be part of Chicago sports history. But to those who knew him, his greatest legacy will be the person he was and the lives he touched.

The Chicago Bears fan-favorite passed away at the age of 68 today.

When the game ends, the journey doesn’t. 🤍
September is Su***de Prevention Month—a reminder that connection matters, especially when life changes dramatically.

For former players, walking away from football can mean more than leaving the field. It can sometimes mean losing identity, purpose, brotherhood, routine, and a sense of belonging.

Let’s make sure the men who gave so much to the game know they’re not alone when the game is over. Stay connected. Check in. Keep the conversation going. 🏈❤️

Reminiscing on this summer and all the great moments with our NFLPA Chicago chapter brothers. From familiar faces to new ones, it’s been great seeing our guys show up, connect, and make the most of every gathering.
We’re looking forward to closing out the year strong, continuing to build our brotherhood, and making even more memories together. Let’s keep the momentum going—hope to see even more of our chapter brothers at the next event! 💪🏽🏈

Our favorite time of year is here! 💙🏈
At our 27th Annual RPFPC Celebrity Golf Outing this July, we had the honor of celebrating our 2026 Youth Football Grant recipients. Congratulations to our three outstanding organizations selected to receive this year’s grant!

Supporting youth football and investing in the next generation of athletes, leaders, and communities is at the heart of what we do. Celebrating our grant and scholarship recipients each year is one of the most rewarding parts of our mission.

Congratulations again to our 2026 grant recipients—we can’t wait to see the impact you’ll make this season and beyond! 👏🏈💙

Thank you to everyone who joined us for the 27th Annual RPFPC Celebrity Golf Outing at Bolingbrook Golf Club. Your support, generosity, and enthusiasm help us continue making a meaningful impact in our community.

One of our favorite traditions each year is gathering around the table to review applications for our RPFPC scholarships and grants!

This year, RPFPC Executive Director Tom Serpento was joined by former NFL players Steve Edwards and Nate Turner to carefully read through each submission, learning about the coaches, volunteers, athletes, and families behind programs that are making a lasting impact in their communities. Every application told a story of dedication, mentorship, and a commitment to creating opportunities for the next generation.

The best part of the process comes after the decisions are made—the phone calls. Getting to share the news with these organizations and celebrate the incredible work they're doing is a reminder of why this grant exists in the first place.

We can't wait to recognize this year's recipients and celebrate their impact at our RPFPC Celebrity Golf Outing next week. Congratulations again to all!
