PUBLIC NOTICE: Evanston Parks and Recreation District has temporarily closed all playgrounds in all city parks.

This decision was based on the current situation with COVID-19 and the guidance from public health officials on physical distancing, limiting in-person social interactions, avoiding spaces where people congregate in close quarters, and the concerns around transmission of the virus being spread through surfaces. Public restrooms at parks will remain closed until further notice.

However, all parks and the Bear River Greenway are currently open for use. We encourage everyone to use the following guidelines:
