What an inspiring evening at the Rotary Club of Evanston’s Community Conversation featuring Pulitzer Prize-winning author Jonathan Eig, whose acclaimed biography of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. sparked a thoughtful discussion about leadership, service, courage, and the values that continue to shape our communities today.

We were pleased to welcome community members, guests, and friends from across Evanston for a meaningful conversation that encouraged reflection, dialogue, and connection. Events like this remind us that Rotary is at its best when it brings people together to learn from one another, exchange ideas, and strengthen the bonds that make our community stronger.

A special thank you to Jonathan Eig for sharing his insights, to our moderator and event volunteers, and to everyone who attended and helped make the evening a success.

The Rotary Club of Evanston remains committed to fostering service, civic engagement, and community conversations that matter.

Jonathan Eig’s acclaimed biography, winner of the 2024 Pulitzer Prize for Biography, has been called “the definitive biography” of Martin Luther King Jr. by The New York Times.
