It’s National Voter Education Week.

Knowing an election is approaching is only the beginning. Being prepared means understanding the process, knowing where to find reliable information, and thinking ahead about how you plan to participate.

This week, take time to review trusted, nonpartisan voter information and make sure the information you’re relying on is current.

Before you make your voting plan, start with the basics.

Take a few minutes today to confirm that your voter information is up-to-date and to review trusted, nonpartisan election information.

Knowing where you stand now can help you avoid surprises later.

Then help someone else do the same. Share this post with at least three people in your family, workplace, congregation, neighborhood, and/or civic network.

Illinois voters:
For the Tuesday, November 3, 2026, General Election, the verified deadlines to register to vote or update your registration in Illinois are:
By Mail (Paper Applications): Must be postmarked or submitted in person by October 6, 2026.
Online Registration: Must be completed through the Illinois Online Voter Registration Application portal by 11:59 PM on October 18, 2026.
Grace Period (In-Person): If you miss the mail or online deadlines, you can still register and vote simultaneously in person during the grace period from October 7, 2026, through Election Day (November 3, 2026) at your local election authority or designated early voting sites.

Today, the North Shore (IL) Chapter of The Links, Incorporated was walking all over Chicagoland for our Walk for Healthy Living! 💚👟

From communities across the city and suburbs, our Links sisters stepped out in support of health, wellness and healthy living. Different routes, different neighborhoods, but one shared commitment to making our health a priority.

Here’s to moving our bodies, encouraging one another and taking steps toward healthier lives—together! Our collective goal was 80million steps 💚 #

Twenty-five years ago, our nation awakened to a morning that forever divided our sense of time into before and after.

Today, we remember the nearly 3,000 lives taken on September 11, 2001. We honor the first responders, service members, medical professionals, and ordinary citizens whose courage shone through unimaginable darkness.

An entire generation has now come of age in the shadow of that day. As members of The Links, Incorporated, we believe remembrance must reflection and a call to service to honor every life, remember every sacrifice, and preserve every lesson, and to choose unity over division and hope over fear.

May the way we live, love, and serve one another ensure that remembrance continues to change us for the better.
