Until further notice, our Giving Storeroom (Family Focus' Food Pantry & Valerie D. Summers Family Closet), located here at Family Focus Evanston, will be stopping all community distribution dates.

We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, and it is our hope that we will be able to resume distribution soon.

WE NEED YOUR HELP ‼

Food is a human right — and everyone deserves to be cared for with dignity and compassion. Our food pantry here at Family Focus Evanston is rooted in this belief ✨

We provide food for people facing hunger and food insecurity. Every family and individual in Evanston deserves to have food on their table, but we need your help.

We're currently looking for donations of these non-perishable food items, to help keep the pantry stocked! You can organize a drive, or even pick something up on a trip to the grocery store — All efforts help us continue to provide food and serve the Evanston community ❤

Calling all Evanston community members, specifically those located in the 5th Ward — Join us this Thursday, February 16, 2023, here at Family Focus in our Gymnasium (Lower Level), for a community meeting.

Family Focus is planning a major capital renovation at our Evanston Center, located within the historic building at 2010 Dewey Avenue.

Join us and share your perspectives for how to program the building, to best to meet the needs of the 5th Ward community and beyond ‼️

Refreshments, childcare and Spanish translations will be provided

STARTING MONDAY, OCTOBER 3RD ❗️

On behalf of The Giving Storeroom-Food Pantry and Valerie D. Summers Family Closet, we have OFFICIALLY reopened our acceptance of FOOD and CLOTHING ‼️

One of the goals of Family Focus overall and the Evanston Center specifically, has always been to do our part in serving the Evanston community to end hunger and provide clothing where it's needed the most — Without the support of our community, we would not be able to continue to provide these and other much needed resources ❤️

✅ ITEMS ACCEPTED:

- Non-Perishable Food
- New or Gently Used Clothing (Men, Women & Children)
- Shoes (Men, Women & Children)
- Diapers (All sizes)
- Cleaning Supplies
- Toiletries

🚫 ITEMS NOT ACCEPTED:

- Dirty or soiled clothing
- Food items that have been opened or partially used including cans, bottles and dry goods
- Food products not in their original packaging
- Food products missing ingredient information labels
- Homemade or home-canned foods
- Products that have become contaminated
- Alcoholic beverages or energy drinks of any kind
- Pet food
- Toys
- Books

OPEN TOMORROW ‼

Due to our unplanned closure last week, the The Giving Storeroom-Food Pantry and Valerie D. Summers Family Closet, our Grocery and Clothing distribution will be OPEN tomorrow, Saturday, July 16th 🙌🏽

The Giving Storeroom entrance is located in the Northwest rear of the building, in our parking lot

We will resume our normal 2nd & 4th Saturday schedule in the month of August 📅
