This year’s African Union theme calls for sustainable water availability throughout the continent. We are honored to play a small part in that vision—village by village, well by well.

This particular well in Nsoh Village was requested and completed last fall. Most in the village had been foraging for water.

Total Project Cost: $37,500; Project Impact: Population 8600 and 1944 households. Lives changed for a little more than $4 per person!

Water is more than water. It is life, health. peace, education, opportunity, continuity, and hope.

This young girl does not post about the weight she carries or the distance she walks. She does not livestream her journey. She simply does what she must so her family has water.

Today is World Telecommunication and Information Society Day (WTISD). While the world talks about connectivity, digital lifelines, and strengthening resilience in a connected world, many children live far beyond the reach of digital infrastructure and spend hours each day fetching water for their families.

The digital divide is real. But for many African communities, the water divide comes first.

This is where Fahmiyanwi meets the children and families of Cameroon, Uganda, and beyond. We dream of a world where no child lacks clean water.

“For from Him [all things originate] and through Him [all things live and exist] and to Him are all things [directed]. To Him be glory and honor forever! Amen.” — Romans 11:36 (AMP)

"When I was hungry, you gave me something to eat, and when I was thirsty, you gave me something to drink. When I was a stranger, you welcomed me," — Matthew 25:35 (CEV)

Access to clean water changes everything for a family — health, education, safety, and opportunity.

The village of Abule "B" recently dedicated their well and celebrated their new access to clean water. It is one of 359 villages in the Soroti District of northeastern Uganda.

It’s World Book Day! What’s your next chapter in life? Our founder, Dr. Ngoh, first shared his guiding principles with his nieces and nephews in Cameroon and later published that wisdom in a book titled Principles of Success. Today, he still meets people who say, “Your book changed my life!” We invite you to download a free copy in English or Spanish, or read excerpts online at fahmiyanwi.org/principles. Invest in your future through reading—your next chapter can begin today.

As National Public Health Week draws to a close, we thank God for the provision we have in clean water in the USA. Of course, it is not perfect, but that is why we reach out to those nations who do not have reliable access to clean drinking water.

"We dream of a world where no child suffers for lack of clean water."
~Dr. Manny and Catherine Ngoh

Dr. and Mrs. Ngoh came from Cameroon and know the struggles of life in an African village. They have seen water as a common denominator in medical missions for years and founded Fahmiyanwi to make a difference.

These orphans gathered their own water at the nearest creek. We helped them have water and have adopted Destiny Orphanage to help them continue their good work in this village. You can too! (Secure giving is available on our website, and donations can be made to the orphanage through Fahmiyanwi. Thanks be to God!)
