Thoughts from my wilderness:
“Later, by the Sea of Tiberias, Jesus again revealed Himself to the disciples. He made Himself known in this way: …“Come, have breakfast,” Jesus said to them….
John 21:1, 12 BSB
Jesus had died and had resurrected; His disciples returned to their familiar. He had appeared to them twice before but this time it feels different.
They were back to their familiar lives but nothing was routine.
“Come have breakfast”, I love this statement! Jesus knows where to find us in our “wildernesses” (our seas of emotions when life is almost unrecognizable and uncertainty fogs the day)
Jesus meets us there, with His warm presence and provides for us what we need to face our day. Jesus reveals who He is in our familiar. He knows where we are in the wildernesses of our world!
He comes to us prepared and ready. He waits for us to see Him. Then He invites us to join Him.
I hope you find Jesus in your familiar. He is waiting for you to see Him there.
Thanks for joining me as I walk through my wilderness!
