School ball ended and the girls begged to get back together so we went to a quick local tournament to have some fun!! They came back together with only NINE players, competed in the HSU division, and walked away UNDEFEATED CHAMPIONS 🏆

These girls would run through a wall for this coaching staff, and we would do the exact same for them.

That kind of trust is not accidental.

It has been built over time by coaches who care deeply, parents who believe in what we are doing, and players who have completely bought into something bigger than themselves.

What we have created together is hard to explain unless you have been part of it. It is more than wins, trophies, uniforms, or a name across the chest. It is a standard. It is a culture. It is a place these girls and families love and protect. Once you experience that kind of environment, it raises the standard for everything else they do in life.

And I could not be more proud of what all of us — coaches, parents, and players — have built together.

There are a lot of ways to coach this game. There are a lot of ways to build a program.

We are incredibly proud of ours. 🩵

Today was fun but several of them have been called up to varsity, so once again we have to hit pause for a few more weeks. Of course, that is exactly where we want them to be, and we could not be more excited for the opportunities ahead of them.

Sometimes the biggest rewards come from taking the biggest risks.

This weekend, Marucci Legacy traveled to Rock Hill, SC, to close out our season at a DC Fastpitch tournament. We made the 3-hour trip with only 9 players, missing several of our teammates. It was a bold decision, but we believed in these girls.

They didn’t disappoint.

4-1 Record and left Champions

Every girl battled through the heat, played hard every inning, and refused to make excuses. They competed with heart, trusted each other, and proved that it’s not about how many you have—it’s about the fight in the ones who are there.

A huge congratulations to Bailee Godbee ( #00) and Chloe Hager ( #9) for launching over-the-fence home runs! 💣 What an incredible way to finish the season!

I couldn’t be prouder of this group. They earned every bit of this championship, and it’s a perfect reminder that resilience, grit, and belief in each other can accomplish great things.

We went looking for competition, and we found it.

This team made up entirely of 30s and 31s stepped into a 16U/18U State Championship and went toe-to-toe with teams full of 27s and 28s all day long. They saw some really good softball, answered every challenge, and proved they can hang.
Coming home after an International Tiebreaker Silver Bracket Championship game with some hardware.

We are incredibly proud of these girls—not because of the rings, but because they were willing to get uncomfortable, compete against older players, and embrace the challenge. Just wait until they are actually old enough to play in that division!!

The competition tomorrow is TOUGH. That’s exactly why we’re here.

Do we still have another year (some TWO years) in 14U? Yes.

So why are a team full of rising 8th and 9th graders stepping into a 16U/18U State Championship?

Because growth doesn’t happen when you’re comfortable.

It happens when you’re challenged.
It happens when you’re tested.
It happens when you line up against teams that make you raise your level.

Tomorrow isn’t about taking the easy road. It’s about preparing these athletes for where they want to be, not where they are today.

Win or lose we’re going to compete, learn, and get better.
