Welcome to my power outage Ted Talk… now that everyone has power restored in our town.

You can zoom in and see who else near you is without power. Maybe understand your ‘loop’ better. Comprehend that there is damage somewhere in your loop. That Joe Wheeler is currently or soon will be repairing said damage in that area.
Joe Wheeler EMC very obviously wants the power back on ASAP, they lose money like crazy every minute that power is not fully available. Every lineman is out in this damp, dark heat, repairing things as fast as they can. All the while their cousin, friend or brother is texting them asking ‘When will the power be on at ### location?’
Remember you also only get charged for the power you use. No credits needed from the power company.
Common sense has all but been lost it seems.
Remember 15 years ago and we were all without power for days on end due to once in a lifetime tornadoes? The linemen worked tirelessly then as they have every storm since. We can survive a few hours without power. Invest in a generator maybe.
The positives here in Eva? No one was seriously injured. People could get food thanks to Larry and the employees of Foodland. People could pick up their medications at Quality Discount Drugs and their employees. The gas stations were quickly restored so gas could be pumped. Best of all? VBS was able to continue at Eva Baptist tonight and who knows, maybe tonight a child decided to accept Christ bc of it. Look at the blessings all around our wonderful little town. We all pull together in times of need.

The road in front of the school is CLOSED. If you need to be on campus, you need to enter at the gravel road by the baseball field and park behind the school. THIS MEANS EVERYONE! Zero exceptions. Summer school students will enter near HVAC hallway. Signs will be posted. We will announce when you may begin to reuse the normal routes. Thank You.

DOWNTOWN EVA: All power is out. EvaBank, Eva Health Clinic and Dental Office are currently closed.
