It's never too early to start getting ready for the Holidays, and once again Companions for Courage and PAWS Therapy Dogs, Inc. will be collecting gifts for children in need in our community. This year, we have several donation sites set up around Lake County. Please help by donating a new, unwrapped toy, which will be delivered in the weeks leading up to Christmas.

Companion Smee was in Injunction Court yesterday doing the very important job of keeping everyone calm. Well done, Smee.

was in court yesterday! We are proud of being a small part of Companions for Courage. Injunction hearings have increased and so has the stress in the courtroom. We attend to bring comfort for those involved and to help ease the stress on the judge + staff who do their best to adjudicate the situations.

Another unique bond was formed in Lake County today when Companion Grizzly met his child for their first pretrial visit. A special request was made for a great big furry, fluffy dog to show up for support, and Grizzly certainly fit the bill!

Companion Andrew got to visit with his child today at a foster home in Lake County. He’s a good listener. What better way to celebrate National Dog Day!

Companion Sydney helped her child in a deposition today in Orlando. It was her first case assignment and she did an amazing job. Well done, Sydney!

We are deeply saddened again to have to announce the sudden passing of Companion Summer. She was a valuable member of our organization and did so much for the community. We send our love to Rosemary and Mike at this time of grief.
