Humboldt County Sheriff's Search & Rescue Our team averages 45 members in Ground, Marine, and Mounted units.

The Humboldt County Sheriff’s Search & Rescue team, established in the early 1950s, is a 100% volunteer led organization dedicated to supporting our Sheriff in protecting and assisting others in their time of need. These individuals possess skills including ham radio operation, man-tracking, swift water rescue, rope rescue, and handling dogs specially trained to search for missing persons.
