We are so grateful for what we were able to accomplish this year.

We experienced extreme challenges that we could not have handled without the continued love & support of this community. The struggle is here and we will never ignore the injustice systemically inflicted on our beloved unhoused friends.

2026 has been crazy already. The unrelenting displacement of our loved ones is devastating. We hope that you feel called to creatively & compassionately envision a future where we are caring for our unhoused community, and not in the bare minimum conditional way the state presents us with.
In this new year, may we destroy the blindness to their humanity that is the catalyst of this violence.

Please feel free to share this fundraiser far and wide. Looking for donations for a married couple who are facing shelter insecurity during a very sensitive time. Linda is on hospice and her husband, Terry, is seeking community support to help keep her indoors in their motel. No one should have to navigate being unhoused, period, especially not while dealing with terminal illness. Any and all support is greatly appreciated! ❤️

Eureka City Council is considering the use of MILITARY DRONE SURVEILLANCE in Eureka at the Tues, Oct 21 City Council Meeting. Our ask to open this topic for public comment has gone through so we can discuss it, and they can KILL IT before the EPD find new ways to kill us & those we love!
Please pull up & voice your thoughts to keep fascism out of our community. There’s an email template in our bio along with the email addresses of the city council members that we encourage you to send out ASAP.

Tenants in Fortuna are rallying at the city council meeting tonight, Monday 9/15 at 6:00, in efforts to persuade the city council to help prevent their residents from losing their housing. They are asking for 1) a Rent Stabilization Ordinance, 2) a Rent Increase Moratorium, 3) safe parking for residents who will be unhoused due to consistent rent increases as the city council drags its feet).

This appearance is being organized by elders, the tenants of Royal Crest Mobile Home Park who are currently under threat from the billion dollar property management company, Storz. One of their representatives told these elders that “they should be grateful to their housing providers,” and if they’re “having such a hard time” with their rent increases, then they should just “apply for a voucher” which take years to obtain, as any large-scale property management company would know.

Please come help support these badass, self-organizing elders as they work to protect themselves and all tenants of Fortuna.

Fortuna City Hall is located at 621 11th St. and the meeting will be tonight, Monday 9/15 at 6:00.

Arcata is threatening to sweep the last and longest-surviving encampment in Arcata. There is nowhere else for our unhoused community members to go. Please show up to Arcata city council tomorrow, Wednesday, July 30th, at 3PM to advocate for the rights and survival of our friends and neighbors. Stop the Sweeps!
