Humboldt Sponsors Humboldt Sponsors, a nonprofit charitable organization, raises funds solely to benefit the youth of Humboldt County CA.

Since 1971, we have awarded more than $3,144,400 in grant funds to local youth-related nonprofits, surpassing our $3 million milestone! Since 1973, Humboldt Sponsors members have raised and distributed nearly $2,733,000 to help provide opportunities for Humboldt County children to participate in educational, recreational and cultural enrichment activities, and to assist youth-oriented programs that provide basic needs. In April 2022, Humboldt Sponsors awarded more than $85,422, which funded 44 individual grant requests. Grant applications are solicited from the community on an annual basis. The funding requests received are evaluated and awarded based on need and the criteria presented. Grant funds are designated exclusively for the youth of Humboldt County. Humboldt Sponsors Active Members serve as officers and board members, chair committees, and develop fundraising projects. Associate Members support and participate in Humboldt Sponsors fundraising and social events. A recognition luncheon is held annually to honor the invaluable contributions of Associate Members.

Humboldt Sponsors President Amy Hunt, officially introduced Miranda as an Active Member at our quarterly General Meeting, held September 16th at Lost Coast Brewery in Eureka. (Photo 1)

New Active Members go through a strict nomination, application and approval process. They may serve in leadership positions, including executive officers, board members and committee chairs, as well as serve on various committees and develop fundraising projects. They must also have been an Associate Member for at least one year.

As an “Active Member,” Miranda will focus her talents and energy primarily on supporting our mission of raising funds to support and enrich the lives of Humboldt County children.

Please join us today ( Saturday September 19th 2026 ) from 4-5:30pm at the Redwood Discovery Museum in Eureka CA. This 1 1/2 hour event includes play and exploration time at the Redwood Discovery Museum for individuals with ASD and their families.

Our western-themed “Boots & Bandanas” 2026 Summer Fundraiser was held on August 6th at the perfect venue - The Barn by Fernbridge.

✨ We have so many people to thank for helping us make this event such a HUGE success! With our generous community’s help, we were able to raise more than $60,000!

As always, the net proceeds from our fundraisers stay local and go directly into our Grant Fund, solely to benefit Humboldt County children.

✨Our sincere appreciation to all the local businesses and individuals who donated so generously to this event, whether monetarily and/or with live and silent auction items. We couldn’t have done this without you.
