We couldn't have asked for a more beautiful day for the first shodeo of the season! Huge thanks to all our board members and families who have worked hard to get the arena cleaned up and ready for the summer.

Hard to believe, but May is right around the corner! We're excited to see everyone Saturday, May 9 for the first shodeo in our summer series. A few updates and reminders as we kick things off to ensure we have a great season:

• Online entries for each shodeo will be open until 5 pm the night before. Otherwise, please enter at the arena before 4:30 pm.
• Membership forms will be available in the crow's nest. Forms must be complete and annual fee paid to start accruing points.
• We reduced the total scheduled shodeos this season to FIVE. Members must enter THREE to be eligible for awards.
• All families must work in the concession stand (food is provided) as well as completing one scheduled mowing or pay a $50 facility fee to be eligible for awards. Sign-up sheets will be available in the crow's nest.
• Western attire is required unless waived by the judge or board.
• Be sure to review the rules for each class, especially those regarding headgear, breaking the pattern, time limits, etc.
• We will have All Around prizes at each shodeo. If you're interested in sponsoring these, send us a message!

Congratulations to all our 2025 contestants on a great summer of shodeos! The ESC board hosted our annual awards banquet last night to celebrate these awesome kiddos.

Special thanks to Jerry and Joan Olson whose donation of the shed for our fundraising raffle made all these awards possible. And thank you to Shelly Decker and Ranchin' Misfits for making all our prizes!

Thanks to all our board members who make these events happen and to the parents, families and sponsors who support our kids. See you all next season!

And the winner is . . . Matt Perrier! Congratulations and a big thank you to everyone who bought tickets for the ESC shed raffle. We appreciate your support of these kids who have worked hard all summer.

Another huge thank you to Jerry Olson with Agricultural Services for generously donating the shed for the raffle. We are very grateful for the opportunity.
