PacOut Green Team PacOut Green Team is a group of avid outdoors people in Humboldt County, CA that pick up trash in the areas in which we play.

PacOut Green Team is a group of avid outdoors people in Humboldt County, CA. It was founded by Tim Haywood (aka SUP Man) and Pacific Outfitters and it's dedicated to keeping the places where we play free of litter and debris. We get together every Saturday at different locations around the county to remove as much litter as possible. Typically our weekly cleanups are 60 minutes long. We understand that people have lives and that time is limited for most people. Prizes supplied by Pacific Outfitters are awarded to cleanup volunteers every week, and everyone is encouraged to join us. This Facebook group site will be our communication platform to let people know where we are picking up litter on a weekly basis. People can also suggest locations that could be cleaned up of litter and debris. We will also be posting pictures of areas that need to be cleaned up and areas which we have cleaned up. Whatever your outdoor interest is: paddling, hiking, biking, hunting, fishing, etc., we hope you will join us in giving back to this incredible place we call home.

10/10/26 – Post Cleanup Report – Hikshari Trail – Hilfiker Ln.

🌎💚 HIKSHARI TRAIL TRASH BASH RECAP! 💚🌎

51 volunteers, 2 awesome dogs, and an incredible community showing up for our open spaces! 🐶🙌

What a beautiful morning on the Hikshari Trail! All three Eureka Rotary Clubs showed up in force alongside students and community volunteers to help keep this special place beautiful. It was amazing to see so many people come together for a common cause!

Everyone worked incredibly hard, and we were happy to see that this section of the trail was actually cleaner than we’ve seen it in years! 🎉 That’s encouraging to see, but we still managed to find plenty of trash, filling about half of our dumpster bin.

We also discovered a secret skate park hidden off the trail! 🛹👀 Check out our Facebook and Instagram photos to see what we found!

The best part of the morning was watching our community come together. There’s something special about people of all ages rolling up their sleeves, working together, and leaving a place better than they found it. ❤️

Let’s show some love for our community and keep Humboldt beautiful! 🌎💪 Join the Pacific Outfitters Green Team (POGT) as we clean up the three bridges connecting Eureka to Samoa!

🧤 HERE’S THE PLAN: 📍 Meet at the first parking lot on the left at Woodley Island ⏰ Check-in starts at 8:45 AM 🗑️ Cleanup runs from 9:00–10:00 AM 📸 Group photo + weekly raffle!

🚗 GETTING THERE: Heading to Woodley Island Marina from Eureka? Take the first exit after crossing the first bridge!

We’ll provide cleanup supplies, and our POGT garbage hauler will handle the bag pickup. Just bring yourself, some good energy, and a willingness to make a difference! 🙌

🗑️💚 POST-CLEANUP REPORT: EUREKA TRASH BASH! 💚🗑️

What a turnout! 🙌 We had an incredible group of volunteers come out for our latest Eureka Trash Bash, helping clean up a large stretch of the Eureka Waterfront Trail.

Every other month, PacOut Green Team partners with the City of Eureka and STIL to host these larger-scale 90-minute Trash Bash events—and our community continues to show up in a BIG way! 💪🌎

🧤 CLEANUP STATS
👥 31 incredible volunteers
🗑️ 1,200+ lbs of trash collected
⏱️ 60 minutes of solid cleanup effort
🎟️ Raffle Winners – Everyone!

A significant amount of the debris collected was abandoned waste along the waterfront trail. While the cleanup can be challenging, our volunteers continue to step up and make a real difference in these areas. 💚

Join PacOut Green Team, Eco Eureka & STIL Humboldt for another community cleanup! We’ll be working around one of Eureka’s important gateways to the waterfront and helping keep our vulnerable open spaces clean.

📍 WHERE:
The Elk River Park & Ride, located at the south end of Eureka and near the south entrance to the Eureka Waterfront Trail.

🚗 PARKING:
Feel free to park in the Park & Ride lot on the west side of Highway 101.

🧤 CLEANUP AREA:
We’ll focus our efforts on:
• Roadsides along Elk River Road & Herrick Avenue
• Areas around the south entrance to the Eureka Waterfront Trail
• Elk River Park & Ride parking lot
• Eureka Waterfront Trail

We love heading out to the Arcata Marsh for the incredible natural beauty, the fresh air, and the opportunity to make a positive impact in our community! 🌱💪 There’s something so rewarding about coming together to care for these special places.

And, of course, none of this happens without our incredible volunteers! 🙌

22 amazing people showed up ready to rock and roll! Whether you were a first-time participant or a regular cleanup warrior, THANK YOU for showing up and making a difference. 💚👏

We even had a couple of four-legged volunteers join us! 🐶🐾 They definitely added some extra fun to the cleanup crew! 😍

Join us this Saturday, September 19, 2026 to help cleanup the Arcata Marsh! A great way to start the day, and if you’re lucky you will see some of that wildlife that makes the Arcata Marsh such a wonderful destination. 🙌

📍 Location:
Meet at the Arcata Marsh parking lot off “G” Street, across from Redwood Curtain

🚗 Parking:
Available in the Arcata Marsh parking lot on “G” Street

🧹 Cleanup Area:
We’ll be focusing on the Arcata Marsh trails, garbage along “G” Street, and the Arcata Bay Trail
