Confetti is NOT ALLOWED at CalPoly Humboldt where our home games are until Albee Stadium is ready.

In fact, we found out the hard way in years past that we will get fined if there is confetti let off in stadium during our events 😖

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but please respect this policy and spread the word! Maybe noise makers are a nice compromise (no air horns) ❤️💚THANK YOU!!!

🔥 MO PURIFY — CLASS OF 2004 🔥

Eureka High’s #2 on our countdown is Mo Purify, a standout member of the Logger football family from the Class of 2004.

Purify made his mark at Eureka High as a dynamic wide receiver and defensive back, showcasing the athleticism, toughness, and competitive drive that made him such a special player on both sides of the ball.

After graduating from Eureka High, Mo continued his football career at San Francisco City College, where he quickly gained national attention as a wide receiver. His performance at the college level opened the door to the next chapter of his football journey, ultimately leading to a commitment to play for the University of Nebraska. 🌽🏈

After collage Mo went on to play in the NFL for the Cincinnati Bengals from 2008 to 2010

From Humboldt County to the national stage, Mo Purify showed what can happen when talent meets hard work, determination, and the drive to keep pushing forward.

A true Eureka Logger standout and another incredible name in our countdown! 💚🏈

The countdown continues with just three days till kick off! #3 Soma Vainuku, one of the most dominant players to ever wear the Green & Red at Eureka High.

A standout running back and linebacker, Soma exploded onto the scene with 1,500 rushing yards and 27 touchdowns as a sophomore. As a junior, he added 800 rushing yards and 14 touchdowns, along with 34 tackles, an interception and a forced fumble.

Then came his senior season in 2009. Soma rushed for an incredible 2,202 yards and 38 touchdowns on 252 carries, while also making an impact defensively. He helped lead Eureka to the 2009 CIF North Coast Division II Championship and earned Cal-Hi Sports All-State and All-Humboldt-Del Norte Big Four League honors.

His talent earned him a spot at USC, where he continued his career as a fullback and special teams standout. He finished his USC career with 144 rushing yards, 124 receiving yards, 3 total touchdowns, 25 tackles and 3 blocked punts, and was named USC Special Teams Player of the Year.

After playing in the NFL with the Texans and Falcons, he’s now running a successful performance gym right in Redding Ca, giving back to the community by sharing his knowledge and experience with the next generation of athletes.
