Eureka Friends of the Library The Eureka Friends of the Library work to support and improve our local public library here in Eureka, Montana, with fundraising, volunteerism, and events.

The Eureka Friends of the Library meet on the third Wednesday of every month, at 2:00 P.M. at the public library. We work to support and improve the services offered by the library with fundraising, volunteerism, and special events. All are welcome to join.

Mark your calendars, the Summer Reading Kickoff Party will be held on Friday, May 30th from 3:30 P.M.- 6:00 P.M. at the Eureka Branch Library, there will be food, fun & games for the whole family, all families are welcome.

Don't miss the BOOK SALE this coming Saturday, August 3rd, 9 AM - 3 PM at the Historical Village. The Eureka Friends of the Library has been getting ready and organizing the book room to get ready for the sale. All proceeds benefit the Eureka branch of Lincoln County Library.

Cowboy Music and Authentic Storytelling by Philip Page

Singer, songwriter, cowboy, and saddle maker Philip Page from Dillon, Montana, shares Montana’s history through Cowboy Music and Authentic Storytelling.

He has traveled across the intermountain west as a storyteller, and has played his songs at the National Cowboy Poetry gathering in Elko, Nevada.

This week's TUESDAY STORYTIME ADVENTURE is a FIELD TRIP to CAN-AM SEARCH & RESCUE. Volunteers there have invited us to come learn about what they do, and to see some of the equipment they use to help when folks are in need of their assistance when out adventuring. We'll meet at the Can-Am Search and Rescue barn on the southwest corner of Airport Road and Iowa Flats Road. (See the Google Maps pin in the comments below. Tuesday, July 9th at 10:30 AM. Empowering Voices with Buck Hitswithastick

In this presentation, Buck Hitswithastick tackles the urgent issue of missing and murdered Indigenous peoples in Montana and beyond. By delving into the systemic roots of this crisis, including the legacy of colonialism and ongoing discrimination, we aim to raise awareness and promote change.

Please join us for this year's Summer Reading Storytime Adventures INSIDE and OUTSIDE the library this year! Some of our Storytime programs this summer will be taking place at locations throughout our community. For directions to these places, and for further details, please check in at the library and stay tuned here.

ALL ARE WELCOME! Please be prepared for any weather. We encourage you to BRING YOUR OWN WATER BOTTLE to refill at our provided water cooler station.

This schedule will be pinned to the top of our page here for easy reference over the next 9 weeks, but please stop into the library if you would like a paper copy to pin onto your bulletin board or to magnet onto your fridge.

Eureka Friends of the Library Used Book Sale will be held on Saturday, April 27th from 9:00 A.M. - 3:00 P.M. at our book sale room at the To***co Valley Historical Village, we have a great selection of Children's books, mystery, western, sci-fi, romance, history, military history, travel, biography and autobiography, religion and self help just to name a few. All proceeds from the book sale go to help fund programs at the Lincoln County Public Libraries. We hope to see you there and please tell your friends about our book sale.

Josephine Trigg was the children's librarian at the Great Falls Public Library and a close friend of Charlie and Nancy Russell. Charlie Russell especially liked to visit the library during the Christmas holidays and Trigg suggested to him that he paint a Christmas scene to go in the Children's Room. Russell painted "The Night Before Christmas" and gave it to the Great Falls Public Library.

SUPPORT YOUR LIBRARY! Prints are available at all three Lincoln County Library branches.

Purchase a Charlie Russell "The Night Before Christmas" print, and the proceeds will benefit Lincoln County Libraries, The Trust for Montana Libraries, and the Great Falls Public Library. Only $15 each!

The Eureka Friends of the Library will be having their Used Book Sale Saturday December, 3rd 2022 in conjunction with Bazaar Weekend from 9:00 A.M.- 4:00 P.M. at the To***co Valley Historical Village, we have a wonderful selection of new and gently used books available in our book sale that make great Christmas gifts, with all proceeds going to support the Eureka Library.
