The sampling event! On Friday evening during the Eureka Friday night market, Humboldt Made & our partners at the North Coast SBDC hosted a sampling event as part of our Humboldt Made buyers tour.

Emerging small businesses who just went through the North Coast SBDC food business series, along with other Humboldt Made members, sampled their products to grocery store buyers both local and out of town, media, content creators, and the public.

Emerging brands were able to get feedback on products that they are taking to market, while our more established member businesses were able to get their products in front of grocery buyers and influential people.

Humble Made’s mission is to help our members grow within the Redwood region and beyond. This Humboldt Made tour was a huge step in getting our members products outside of the Redwood Curtain Brewery and it was an absolute blast!

This week we are hosting a Humboldt Made tour with a a group of grocery buyers, media, and content creators for a behind the scenes look at Humboldt County food and beverage industry. We are touring farms and food facilities.

Day one we went to 'Ohana Organics South Fork Mountain Water Eel River Organic Beef Jersey Scoops & Humboldt Cider Company and then we hosted a dinner at the Sequoia Park Zoo

Day 2 we are touring Humboldt Bay Coffee Co Harvest Hub Jessicurl Pupuseria San Miguel Elizabeth Nester Beck's Bakery Local Grains Sunken Seaweed Tulip - Artisan Perfume Dick Taylor Craft Chocolate & tonight there is a tasting outside of Dick Taylor Craft Chocolate featuring lots of Humboldt Made products during the Eureka Humboldt Made Friday Night Market | Eureka + Arcata

Member Spotlight: Visual Concepts ⚡️

There’s a good chance you’ve seen Noah Samson’s work today without even realizing it. In fact, it’s been said that you can stand on any street corner in Arcata and spot a sign, storefront decal, food truck, or wrapped vehicle created by Visual Concepts. And if not? Just walk a block or two.

Noah and his team have built something pretty awesome in Humboldt. From logo design and branding to screen printing, stickers, signage, product labels, vehicle wraps, and custom apparel, Visual Concepts helps local businesses bring their ideas into the real world. They’re the only shop within 100 miles offering all of those services under one roof.

Around here, they’ve helped brand countless local businesses—including wrapping our Humboldt Made vending machine at the airport (have you seen it yet?!) and soon, our little tap trailer.

This summer, they’re also wrapping HTA’s new fleet of hydrogen buses, so keep an eye out for those blue, Humboldt-inspired designs rolling through town.

What we love most is that Noah sees the success of his clients as tied to the success of our community. As he put it, “We’re all in this together.” In a county full of entrepreneurs, artists, and big ideas, it’s people like Noah helping bring those visions to life.
