Eureka Emblem Club provided the following items to Nations Finest veteran facility. Gift certificates for each person, bags of mandarin oranges, coco mix and bag of treats for their dogs. Merry christmas to our veterans.

A big thank you to all who participated in our annual International Dinner, from the ladies who cooked, those who attended and enjoyed the food and special thanks to Scott Reinsmith for being the dessert auctioneer. A most enjoyable event.

Eureka emblem #298 happily donated a case of corn on the cob, coffee and cookies to our veterans at Nations Finest. They are planning a BBQ for veterans day. We have been told they REALLY enjoy the fresh corn. Happy veterans day fellows and thank you for your service.

Our annual International dinner was held tonight. Along with all the wonderful food offerings from various countries, we had a dessert auction (yummy) and raffle. Good time was has had by all

Macheal Haskins and Team are holding a craft show on Friday, December 5th from 5:00 p.m.-7:30 p.m. at the Eureka Elks Lodge during the Cook Your Own Steak dinner. All money raised will go to our local veterans.

The Emblem’s Veterans Program holds several fundraising events throughout the year to raise money to spend locally. In the past, dedicated committee chairperson Macheal has supplied the local veterans home (on 4th street) near the Eureka Co-Op with stamps and stationery, coffee beans and ground coffee, candies, and other items. During the holidays she purchases pies, cakes, hams, turkeys, and more for their dinners.

Donations so far include potholders, kitchen towels, coin purses, jar grippers and key fob wristlets. There will be a variety of craft items for sale.
