Providence St. Joseph Hospital Cancer Center is partnering with the Humboldt Crabs to celebrate National Cancer Survivors Day on Sunday, June 7, at the Arcata Ball Park.

Come out for a meaningful day at the ballpark as players wear pink wristbands in tribute to cancer survivors. We hope you’ll join us in filling the stands as we celebrate life, support loved ones and stand together in hope.

This afternoon, the California Cancer Crusher visited St. Bernard's Academy and proudly awarded Alyssa Boham the second of three $1000 scholarships, recognizing her exceptional achievements. With a remarkable 4.14 GPA, Alyssa has demonstrated outstanding dedication to academics, sports, and student government. She is now poised to pursue a degree in diagnostic medical sonography at Oregon Institute of Technology, and we extend our heartfelt wishes for her continued success and empowerment on her journey.

Last night, the California Cancer Crusher attended McKinleyville High School's 2026 Scholarship night, where McKennah Sargent was one of three outstanding recipients to receive a scholarship from us. With a remarkable 4.217 GPA, McKennah is poised to excel at Santa Rosa Jr College, where she'll pursue her passion for softball and work towards a degree in Kinesiology. We extend our warmest congratulations and best wishes for her bright future.
