The City of Eureka’s Uplift Eureka program, in partnership with the Betty Kwan Chinn Foundation, would like to invite you to participate in Interview Day, November 4th, at our upcoming Pathway to Payday Employment Workshop Series.

Pathway to Payday is a four-day workshop designed to empower individuals who face barriers to employment. Over the first two days, participants receive training in applications, resumes, and interview skills.

On Wednesday, November 4th, from 8:45AM – 1:00 PM, businesses are invited to conduct real interviews with prepared participants who are eager to enter the workforce.

The involvement of local businesses provides participants with an invaluable opportunity for face-to-face interviews while giving businesses the chance to meet a variety of motivated candidates in a short amount of time. Many employers have found successful new hires through this program, while also making a direct impact in our community.

On Saturday, August 22nd, the Community Access Project for Eureka (C.A.P.E.) partnered with the Betty Kwan Chinn Homeless Foundation to host the 6th Annual Fore! The Community Golf Classic.

A big CONGRATULATIONS to this year’s winning team, Moonstone Grill! Thanks to the generosity of our players, sponsors, and supporters, the event was a success and will help strengthen programs that make a difference in our community.

Proceeds will help C.A.P.E. bring joy to families in local shelters through holiday celebrations and other quality-of-life programming. The Betty Kwan Chinn Homeless Foundation will use funds to further their mission of securing permanent housing for individuals and families in need. Together, we’re building brighter futures—one swing at a time.
