The City of Eureka's Uplift Resource Center excited to announce that our Little Bottoms Program has received a grant for the 2026 Grant Application Cycle!

This vital program provides emergency diapers/pull-ups and wipes to families that receive public assistance such as CalFresh or WIC. As funding is limited for this program, assistance is limited to emergency use. Resource Center staff will work with families on connecting with long-term resources.

Stop by the Uplift Resource Center (1111 E Street in Eureka, open Monday to Friday 10am-4pm) or call 707-441-4242 x1 for more information.

We would like to thank Humboldt Sponsors for making this program possible. Without their help, we would not be able to offer this emergency assistance to Humboldt County families!

Looking for a volunteer opportunity?

The 2026 Point-in-Time Count of people experiencing homelessness will take place in the morning on Friday, January 23, 2026. On the morning of the count, volunteers will assemble at their assigned deployment locations across the county to receive zone assignments and incentives for distribution to people experiencing homelessness who agree to participate in the survey. There are 67 tracts to cover with two volunteers per team, so we’re aiming for 134 volunteers. To those that have already registered - thank you so much!

Volunteers are essential for ensuring the count is as accurate as it can be, and the State of California continues to base homeless assistance funding allocations on the percentage of the statewide Point-in-Time Count that comes from our county, so this effort will have a direct impact on the availability of housing and services that are available in our communities in the coming years.

To register for the count, please visit https://humboldt.pointintime.info/

The Humboldt Housing & Homelessness Coalition (HHHC) is also seeking information on locations where people are camping to ensure that volunteers assigned to zones including such locations are made aware and can make a special effort to survey those areas on the morning of the count. If you have information on camp locations, including places where people are residing in vehicles, boats, makeshift structures, abandoned buildings, and any other places not meant for habitation, please email [email protected].

There will be a volunteer training offered online on Friday, January 16 at 11 am. This training will be recorded. To join the training:
