IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT

Hours will be changing at the Uplift Eureka Community Resource Center. The Resource Center will now be open Monday to Friday 10:00AM-3:00PM and will be open BY APPOINTMENT ONLY from 3:00PM-4:00PM.

The Uplift Community Resource Center is urgently in need of diaper donations to ensure our Little Bottoms Program is able to continue providing for the over 35 families that utilize it.

We are looking for donations of size 3T-4T pull-ups, size 1 diapers, and size 5 diapers.

If you can help, please drop your donation at 1111 E St. in Eureka Monday through Friday anytime from 10:00AM-4:00PM.

Last week C.A.P.E. held our third Pathway to Payday of the year! 13 participants completed the program, with each participant receiving interest in being hired from the businesses that attended Wednesday, or an opportunity for a second interview.

We would like to give a massive thank you to all of the businesses that participated in Pathway to Payday, Express Employment Professionals, A-1 Cleaning Service, and Ross Dress for Less! Thank you for your dedication in helping our community members find employment that's right for them.

Finally, we would like to give a shout-out to the Betty Chinn Homeless Foundation and their fantastic staff, all of our incredible speakers and volunteers who took time to come and participate, and the support from the County of Humboldt.

Congratulations to our Pathway to Payday graduates for completing the July program and we are excited to see where your employment journey leads you!

NAMI Mental Health Support Group: NAMI Connection Recovery Support Group is a free support group for any adult who has experienced symptoms of a mental health condition. Gain insight from hearing others’ challenges and successes, led by trained support group facilitators.

Mindfulness for Recovery: Mindfulness for Recovery with Bree Kirschner is a free workshop for any adults who want to focus on mindfulness and acceptance for navigating a new path forward in recovery. Join Bree every Friday from 3:00-4:00PM and reach out to [email protected] with any questions!

Resume Ready: Ready to create or update your resume? Join our Resume Building Workshop and learn how to build a professional, polished resume that grabs employers’ attention!
